Itinerary
Board your boat at Dock 7 in central Budapest
Your cruise begins at Jane Haining rakpart, just a short walk from Deák Ferenc tér Metro. Step aboard one of Budapest's most elegant and modern boats, grab your welcome drink (choose from champagne, wine, beer, soft drink, or mineral water), and settle in.
Cruise past the Chain Bridge
You glide beneath the iconic Chain Bridge, Budapest's oldest and most photographed span connecting Buda and Pest. Built in 1849, this suspension bridge symbolizes the unification of the two sides of the city. Your audio guide explains how it was destroyed in World War II and painstakingly rebuilt.
Admire the Parliament Building from the water
Next, the massive Neo-Gothic Parliament Building dominates the Pest shoreline. With 691 rooms and a golden dome that rises nearly 100 meters, it's one of Europe's largest legislative buildings. You'll hear stories about Hungary's crown jewels stored inside and the building's role in the nation's history.
See Buda Castle on the hill
Across the river, Buda Castle sits high on Castle Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage site that once housed Hungarian kings. The baroque palace and surrounding fortifications create a dramatic silhouette against the sky. Your audio guide covers centuries of royal intrigue, sieges, and reconstructions.
Pass under Elisabeth Bridge
Your boat then approaches Elisabeth Bridge, named after the beloved Empress Elisabeth of Austria. This elegant white suspension bridge is the most modern of Budapest's Danube crossings, rebuilt after World War II with a sleek, minimalist design that contrasts beautifully with the historic architecture around it.
