Start the day with hotel pick-up in Budapest and meet your English-speaking mountain guide. Settle into a comfortable van ride toward the Danube Bend, watching the city fade into wooded hills.
Climb to the Vadálló-kövek ridge
Hit the trail with the day’s steepest uphill while your legs are fresh, stepping over volcanic rocks and roots. As you gain height, the Danube appears below in wide bends and shining ribbons.
Reach the Prédikálószék viewpoint
Push to Prédikálószék, one of Hungary’s best lookouts over the Danube Bend. Step onto the viewpoint, catch your breath, and snack while your guide points out peaks, villages, and river curves.
Descend into a wild forest valley
Leave the ridge behind and follow a long downhill through quiet, untouched forest. Pause at a cold-water spring to refill bottles, then keep moving as the trail narrows toward the canyon entrance.
Climb the waterfalls in the Rám Gorge
Enter the cool, green Rám Gorge and follow the streambed deeper into the canyon. Use ladders, rails, and footholds to climb beside small waterfalls, taking it slow on wet stones and slick roots.
