Guide tips

Itinerary

Meet your guide at the Eurama Office

Meet your guide at the Eurama office thirty minutes before departure. You'll board the comfortable, air-conditioned city coach for a brief ride into the heart of Pest.

See the monuments of Heroes' Square

Next, arrive at Heroes' Square, a massive plaza built for the Hungarian Millennium celebration in 1896, where you'll exit the coach for a guided exploration. Admire the iconic Millennium Monument and the statues of the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars.

Cross the Margaret Bridge and ascend Castle Hill

Then re-board the coach for a drive past the imposing House of Parliament, a huge neo-Gothic masterpiece on the Pest riverbank. Cross the Danube River via Margaret Bridge, as you head up to the Buda side's historic Castle Hill.

Castle Hill and Matthias Church

Disembark the coach on Castle Hill for an 75-minute walking tour through the district. See the multi-colored tiled roof of the famous Neo-Gothic Matthias Church that was the site of several coronations.

Fisherman's Bastion

Follow your guide to Fisherman’s Bastion, the neo-Romanesque fortification terrace built in the early 1900s. Enjoy free time here to capture stunning photographs of the Pest side, including the Danube River and the massive Parliament building.

Photo stop at Gellért Citadel

Hop on the coach to continue your drive, and head toward Gellért Citadel for a photo stop. The hilltop offers one of the finest vantage points in Budapest, allowing you to capture a final, sweeping view of the city and its bridges.

Your tour finishes at the Eurama Office

The guided tour concludes as your coach heads back across the Elizabeth Bridge and drives along the grand Andrássy Avenue, passing the State Opera House and St. Stephen’s Basilica, a huge neoclassical co-cathedral. The 3-hour experience ends back at the Eurama office.
