Upon meeting your expert guide and fellow group members early in the morning at Madrid’s Plaza Las Ventas, your journey kicks off with a scenic one hour drive to Toledo. Here, you’ll join your expert leader for an insightful tour, taking in landmarks such as the Cathedral of Toledo, the Mirador del Valle, and the Bridge of San Martin.
Continuing on, your journey brings you to the historic city of Segovia, famous for its 15-km-long Roman Aquaducts. Learn about this feat of engineering dating back to Spain's Roman era, as well as the Cathedral of Segovia and the Azoguejo Square. Lastly, head to the fairy-tale-worthy Alcázar before transferring back to Madrid.

Depart from Madrid
Your adventure begins bright and early, at the centrally located Plaza Las Ventas. Here, in the shadow of Madrid's famous bullring, you'll meet your guide and fellow travel companions for the day. Take a moment to soak up your surroundings, filled with statues of famous matadors and impressive Moorish architecture, before boarding the comfortable bus and settling in for the picturesque drive to Toledo. Thanks to the early morning quiet streets, Madrid’s sprawling city will quickly be replaced with expansive views of olive groves and rolling fields.
Explore Toledo
After about an hour on the road, you’ll arrive in the enchanting city of Toledo. Hop off the bus for a guided tour, which includes the majestic Cathedral of Toledo and expansive views from Mirador del Valle. That’s not all, though. You’ll also visit the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes and stroll across the picturesque Bridge of San Martin. Along the way, enjoy expert commentary from your guide, who’ll bring this storied city to life.
Visit Segovia
Back on the bus, your next destination is the captivating city of Segovia. Settle in for a two-hour drive, which promises superb views of the Castilian Plateau and quintessential Spanish villages. Then, once the rugged peaks of the Guadarrama mountains come into view, you know you’re getting close. Soon, you’ll be off the bus and embarking on another insightful city tour.
Starting at the imposing Aqueduct, you’ll learn about this ancient engineering marvel dating back to the Roman era in Spain. Spanning 9 miles (15 km) and featuring an astonishing 167 arches, it’s undoubtedly a sight to see. Next, follow your guide to the awe-inspiring Cathedral of Segovia, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture towering over the Plaza de Díaz Sanz.

This was our first visit to Spain, and of course we wanted to venture out from Madrid after a few days there. I would highly recommend this tour.

Tour guide was terrible, inaccurate and crooked history being told, you guys think people are stupid. 90% of the history being told is about Jews, you made it sound like the population of Spain was a jewish majority since 90% of history being told is Jewish. Major monuments in Toledo were not visited or even mentioned or even shown from distance because the tour guide was busy taking us around to show us a piece of tile with Hebrew number written on it, the funny thing is that piece of tile was put there in 2012. When I mentioned the Toledo mosque and the alqantara bridge, she said that we will see them from outside the city while leaving and when we left she said we can not see them even from outside the city because tourist buses are not allowed to park on that side of the city. When I told her that she ignored a major part of history during the tour, she said you can go book a tour that tells Arab history, so stupid. I told her that this is Spain history whether Arab or something else. She was very rude, I can not recommend such tours to anyone especially smart well informed people.

Delightful from start to finish. Booking was straight forward, instructions were clear, emergency number was provided just in case we needed to reach out. Our tour guide Mateo and driver, Ricardo were knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The coach ride was smooth and comfortable. We will definitely choose The Tour Guide again on our next trip to Europe.
