To discover three of Portugal’s most spectacular cities, make your way to your meeting point in central Lisbon. After meeting your friendly guide and small group of fellow travelers, you’ll hop into your comfortable minibus or van for the day. Make sure you have your camera handy, as you’re in for a day of magical memories that you’ll surely want to capture!

Your first stop of the day is the stunning medieval village of Óbidos. Explore the walled city as your guide points out historic landmarks, incredibly well-preserved buildings, and the famous Castle of Óbidos. From this historic fortress, enjoy an unparalleled view of the wall of Óbidos.

Next, you’ll be taken to the idyllic fishing village of Nazaré. Witness astonishingly large waves from Forte de São Miguel, wander through O Sitio, and walk up to the summit to discover an array of ancient churches, medieval fortifications, and striking basilicas.

Finally, you’ll arrive in the enchanting city of Porto. Begin with free time to indulge in a traditional, Portuguese lunch, followed by a 1.5-hour walking tour through the city. Take in the charming Old Town and captivating views of the iconic Douro River, as your guide explains more about the beautiful city’s fascinating history.

Your day of immersing yourself in three of Portugal’s most enchanting cities begins in Lisbon at 8:00 am. Make your way to your designated meeting point at Praca Marqués de Pombal, where your local guide will be waiting to greet you along with your excited, small group of fellow travelers!

Hop into your air-conditioned minibus or van, buckle your seatbelt, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

Wander Through Óbidos

After hitting the road, your first stop of the day will be the charming, medieval village of Óbidos. Lined by an ancient wall, this beloved town consists of slender, cobblestone streets, historic architecture, prominent landmarks, and incredibly well-preserved homes.

Your knowledgeable guide will lead you to the lesser-known Jewish neighborhood where you’ll learn about the area while snapping jaw-dropping photos at every corner. Next, stroll along the popular Rue Dereita, lined by vibrant Portuguese restaurants and shops.

Finally, you’ll arrive at the breathtaking Castle of Óbidos. Built in the 12th century and sitting at the highest point in town, this historic fortress is one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. From here, you’ll be treated to a captivating view of the wall of Óbidos!

Take in the Sights of Nazaré

After hopping back in your comfortable vehicle, you’ll soon be transported to the picturesque fishing village of Nazaré. Your friendly guide will begin by taking you to the iconic Forte de São Miguel, renowned for the enormous waves along its coastline. As you can imagine, this is a top attraction for surfers!

Next, follow your guide though O Sitio, a well-known street brimming with religious buildings such as Ermita da Memoria or The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré. Trek up to the peak of the summit to find a treasure trove of medieval structures, churches from the 17th century, and modern-day shrines. As you meander through the many plazas and courtyards in the area, you’ll find opulent basilicas and numerous, awe-inspiring statues!

Enjoy Free Time for Lunch in Porto

Following your exploration of Nazaré, you’ll arrive in the beautiful city of Porto. By now, you’ll have certainly worked up an appetite. Enjoy one hour of free time to indulge in a delicious, traditional Portuguese lunch. Your local guide will be happy to offer tips on their favorite restaurants in the area!

Explore Beautiful Porto

After refueling with a wonderful lunch, your guide will lead you on a 1.5-hour walking tour through this spectacular city. Marvel at the magnificent Old Town, which sits along the striking Douro River. As you gaze out at the scenic body of water, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, your guide will point out the six iconic bridges that cross over the river. Be sure to take some photos of the captivating setting before making your way back to your minibus.

Return to Lisbon

Once you’ve finished discovering the beauty of Porto, it will be time to hop back in your comfortable vehicle one last time. As you make your way back to the stunning city of Lisbon, admire the magnificent views along the way. Once you make it back to Praca Marqués do Pombal in Lisbon, your helpful guide will offer their very best recommendations for the remainder of your visit!

In the spirit of seeing as much of these three cities in one day as possible, each stop is abbreviated more than our dedicated tours of each individual city. You'll still get to experience all the most important elements of these impressive cities though

Food is not included in the price of this tour but you'll have a break to find delicious food in Porto. Your guide will be happy to recommend one of their favorite spots.

Can I bring my kids and do I have to pay for them?

Due to the amount of travel and walking involved on this tour, only children aged 9 and up are permitted to join
