As you wander through the lively district of Baixa, your expert guide will lead you on an award-winning gastronomic route featuring liqueur shops, taverns, street-food stops, and local eateries. Along the way, you’ll enjoy eight Portuguese food tastings, including traditional and modern petiscos (similar to Spanish tapas), fresh seafood, street food, and a sweet treat to finish. How comprehensive is this tour?

In the spirit of spending time at each of the three eateries on this tour, your time exploring the history and other landmarks of the area will be abbreviated. You’ll still get to experience the most important elements of this lively neighborhood though.

Is lunch or dinner included in the price of the tour?

Lunch or dinner are not included in this tour, but you will enjoy delicious petiscos from three different eateries, so you should not expect to leave hungry!

What if I have food allergies, intolerances, or other dietary requirements?

Vegetarian options will be available at all of the stops, but please contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate any other needs. We will work with our tour partners to provide you with an alternative when possible. This tour is not suitable for vegans.

How many glasses of wine will I get? 

You'll enjoy four different beverages on this tour, one of which will be a glass of traditional green wine!

What if I don’t drink alcohol but I’d still like to join a food tour?


Not a problem. Please let us know in the comment box when you book your tour so we can make sure an alternative drink is provided.

Can I bring my kids and do I have to pay for them?

Because we will be entering multiple bars during this tour, all participants must be over 18 years old
