Itinerary

Meet your guide at the Kayak Center

Meet your guide at Skärgårdens Kanotcenter on Resarö, a short, scenic trip from central Stockholm. Upon arrival, your guide handles the necessary paperwork and prepares you for the adventure ahead.

Gear and safety introduction

Receive an important safety briefing and a short land-based paddling lesson to ensure you feel confident and ready to launch. Your expert guide introduces the day's route, which is strategically adapted to the current weather and wind conditions.

Paddling the archipelago

Paddle out into the Stockholm Archipelago, navigating past Resarö’s shores. You'll pass Vaxholm Fortress, an 18th-century coastal defense, and admire red waterfront cottages. Alternatively, the route may explore the Bogesund Nature Reserve.

Island break and fika

Halfway through your paddle, pull ashore on a secluded island for a classic Swedish fika, a ritualized coffee break with pastries in a beautiful setting. You also have time to take a refreshing dip in the sea if you wish, or simply enjoy the views.

Your tour ends at the Kayak Center

Paddle back to the kayak center, usually following a different route to maximize your views of the islands and coastline. Your tour finishes back at Skärgårdens Kanotcenter. Head into Vaxholm after the tour for further fun and exploration!
