Pick-up & Departure
Convenient pick-up from designated central Reykjavík bus stops. Board the coach and leave the city lights behind.
Aurora Hunting
Your expert guide, who has studied the cloud and aurora forecasts, will drive the bus toward the area with the highest viewing probability (usually no more than 90 minutes from Reykjavík).
The Viewing Location
The bus will stop at a chosen location with a high chance of clear skies. Then everyone exit coach and begin the wait. Your guide will distribute hot chocolate and light refreshments and offer tips on camera settings.
The Wait
You may need to wait patiently for the lights to appear. If the lights do not show within a reasonable amount of time, the bus may move to a second location based on conditions.
Return & Drop-off
After a successful viewing or once the allotted time (~4 hours total duration) has passed, the bus will return to Reykjavík for drop-off at your starting point.
