Itinerary
Your tour begins at S. Lucia dock (Borgo Marinari)
Arrive 15 minutes early at the S. Lucia dock in Borgo Marinari, then step aboard at the foot of Castel dell’Ovo. As you push off, the waterfront peels away and Naples starts to change shape from sea level.
Glide past Castel dell’Ovo and Santa Lucia
Drift alongside Naples’ oldest shoreline, where Santa Lucia’s harbor life meets stately façades. Learn the legend of Castel dell’Ovo, Naples’ seafront castle whose name literally means “egg castle”, as the city’s stone and light ripple across the water.
Soak up the Lungomare boardwalk and round the Mergellina district
Cruise the long sweep of the Lungomare promenade, letting the bay open wide in front of you. As you round the coastal district of Mergellina, Mount Vesuvius and the curve of the coast come into view.
Skim the Posillipo coast and its seaside villas
Follow Posillipo’s cliffs as historic villas rise above the water. Pass Palazzo Donn’Anna, a famous, 17th-century unfinished monumental palace, and other landmark estates, and feel the city soften into a quieter, sea-facing Naples.
Your tour finishes with a swim in Baia del Cenito, then return to S. Lucia dock (Borgo Marinari)
When weather allows, slip into the scenic rocky cove of Baia del Cenito for a swim and use the snorkeling equipment to scan the rocks below the surface. Then sail back toward Borgo Marinari and step ashore where you started, salt-air relaxed.
