We enjoyed three wonderful, informative hours with the hugely knowledgeable and charismatic Miguele. We can't thank him enough for bringing alive for us the Colosseum and its history in a way that captivated all three of our children as well as my wife and me.

Our tour guide Yanira was absolutely wonderful! So friendly and engaging especially with our 4 year old! Her knowledge was outstanding! She made our experience what is was, perfect!

Our guide, Daniel, was Amazing with our 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. He made them feel engaged and comfortable asking questions. My wife and I also very much enjoyed the experience and even though pricey, would fully recommend it to anyone.
Michele is the best in Rome!!!!

I cannot express enough what a special experience it was to have Michele as our host for the tour. Our 8 year old was completely entertained and learned a lot. The adults in our group had the best times as well - he was funny, engaging , smart and so kind. It was a super hot day, but he worked so hard to make sure our experience was fantastic. The worst part was having to say goodbye! If I could him more stars, I would! Thank you Michele!!!!

We were contracted out to another tour guide rather than someone through The Tour Guy. We were at our meeting place on time but our guide was late however the company was very great at letting us know that someone was still on their way. The tour guide seemed surprised that it was a private tour with children so there was no preparation to orient the tour towards our children’s interests unlike how the tour was advertised. That being said, the guide was was very informative and as an adult I really enjoyed his relaying of the history of the Colosseum. Unfortunately, our 5 and 8 year old lost interest pretty quickly.

Claudia greeted us and immediately hit it off with my two boys (ages 6 and 8). She went with the flow of what they were interested in and kept up with their energy and truly catered the tour to exactly what they wanted and she thought would be the most engaging for them. I've done the Vatican tour several times and I learned all new things with Claudia as our guide. And...at the end of the tour, she gave them a bag full of little goodies to remember the tour and it ended up being one of their favorite things to take home. She was AMAZING. When we return, I will specifically ask for her.

Valerie was a wonderful tour guide! She was very engaging and patient with our 4 year old and allowed us to tour at our own pace with our young children. She was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot! She was punctual and it was easy to find the meeting spot. Would definitely recommend!

Our guide Maria was amazing with my children, 8 and 11. They were engaged all the time, very interested in everything she said. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Anna was awesome. We were a few minutes late to the meeting point and she reached out and waited for us to arrive. When we got there she met us with a smile, which I really appreciated. It was an insanely hot August day (approx. 100 degrees Fahrenheit) and she did her best to find us cool(ish)/shaded spots to chat as we made our way through the Colosseum. We loved that we had virtually zero wait time in lines and Anna was great with the kids which made the experience much more enjoyable. Anna even stopped into the gift shop to get us a bottle of water when we really needed it and the kids got to leave with a book for a prize which they both thought was awesome. I absolutely recommend "The Tour Guy" and especially the "Private Family Colosseum & Roman Forum Tour" to anyone with kids.

This tour was great for adults and kids! We had Ana as our guide and she was very nice knowledgeable. She had lots of pictures to help compare what it looked like before and now. The kids loved the scavenger hunt and prize. Everything was amazing to see! We would definitely recommend to others!

Private Family Rome Tour and "Pre-Opening" Vatican Tours were Awesome!

First of, great pre-tour service. Very quick at getting back to you on questions. We ended up booking the private family rome tour and the "pre-opening" vatican tour. The family tour was structured as a "Treasure Hunt." Our tour guide did a REALLY good job engaging our children. It was really hot that day and even then the kids did not complain. The information was interesting and we had a good time. The "Pre-Opening" Vatican tour is a MUST. You need to get up early but it is totally worth it!!! When we got to the Sistine Chapel, there were maybe 30 - 40 people in there (which is REALLY low). It was so peaceful and not crowded; easily walking around to see the ceiling. It was a great way to take in Michelangelo's masterpiece. Highly recommended!!
