Itinerary
Your tour begins in central Munich
Meet your guide at the corner of Hochbrückenstraße 10 and Bräuhausstraße 10, Munich, then board a comfortable coach bound for Bavaria.
Drive into the Bavarian Alps toward Oberammergau
Next, ride past lakes and mountain villages on the way toward Oberammergau. Your guide shares local context as the landscape sharpens into dramatic peaks, setting up the day’s fairytale castles and viewpoints.
Ride the Alpine Coaster
If you opt in, take the chairlift up to the start and ride the Alpine Coaster back down, controlling your speed the whole way. If it is closed for weather or maintenance (or you prefer to keep your feet on the ground), you spend this time in Oberammergau instead.
Pause for lunch in Schwangau
Then stop in Schwangau for free time to grab an optional lunch at Schlossbrauhaus Schwangau, with castle views nearby. Food and drink are not included in the tour price, so plan to purchase lunch separately based on what you feel like that day.
Walk to Mary’s Bridge for the classic view
Head toward Marienbrücke for the postcard angle over the gorge and the castle’s towers. You can hike up for a more scenic approach, or pay for a shuttle, then take time for photos and fresh air.
Tour Neuschwanstein’s interior with timed entry
Arrive with your reserved time and join the official interior tour to see Ludwig’s ornate rooms and grand halls. Your admission is guaranteed and pre-booked, but not included in the tour price. If you prefer not to buy tickets, you can explore the courtyards for free.
Tour Neuschwanstein’s interior at timed entry
If you choose, purchase your castle admission tickets to see King Ludwig’s opulent private chambers and grand halls. If you prefer not to buy tickets, you can explore the courtyards for free.
Your tour ends at central Munich
Finally, settle into the return coach ride as the Alps fade back into city streets. You arrive in central Munich where you started, with a full camera roll and clear next steps for the rest of your evening.
