Pompeii is a rare and beautiful archeological site just south of Naples that was covered or basically frozen in time by 13–20 feet (4–6 meters) of ash and pumice by the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Some say the eruptions was Julius Caesar’s revenge! If you are planning to see the most of the Amalfi Coast, then this archeological wonder should be at the top of your priority list.
Our expert tour guide will not only weave you through this ancient Roman city, but they will also take you up to the crater of Vesuvius.
