Itinerary
Meet your guide at Plaza de la Constitucion
Your tour begins at the white marble fountain in the city’s main square, which has been the center of local life for hundreds of years. You will meet your guide and see the grand buildings that surround this historic meeting spot. It is the perfect place to start your walk through the oldest part of the city.
See the famous "One-Armed Lady"
Next, you will walk to the massive Málaga Cathedral, a huge church that looks a bit lopsided. You will learn why locals call it the "One-Armed Lady" because one of its towers was never finished. Your guide will explain how this site changed from a mosque into a beautiful Renaissance building over many years.
Discover ancient ruins and a hilltop castle
Then, you will visit a stone Roman Theatre built over 2,000 years ago, which sits right at the foot of the Alcazaba. This hilltop palace was once a fortress used to protect the city. You will see how the different layers of history, from the Romans to the Moors, are all stacked right on top of each other.
Climb through gardens to the highest viewpoint
Next, you will follow your guide on a hike through the Jardines de Puerta Oscura, a series of hidden tropical gardens tucked into the hillside. You will climb a paved path to a spectacular lookout where no other tour company ventures. From this height, you will get a bird’s-eye view of the bullring, the coast, and the blue Mediterranean Sea.
Your tour finishes at the Roman Theatre
The tour ends back down at the entrance to the ancient Roman theater in the heart of the Old Town. Now that you know your way around, you can easily navigate the city center. Your guide will leave you with great tips on where to eat and what else to see during your stay.
