Itinerary
Your tour begins at HYDE Hotel
Meet your expert English-speaking local driver-guide outside the HYDE Hotel, a central base near Galway’s main shopping streets. After check-in, board a luxury midi-coach and set off for Ireland’s Atlantic edge.
Follow the Wild Atlantic Way into County Clare
Head south along the Wild Atlantic Way, a coastal route built for big sea views and small villages. As you cross into County Clare, your driver-guide shares local stories and points out landmarks along the coast.
Cruise beneath the Cliffs of Moher
Then step onto a dedicated sightseeing boat and watch the Cliffs of Moher rise like a wall of ancient rock above the Atlantic. From sea level, you see their scale up close, with seabirds nesting on ledges and caves cut into stone.
Sail to Inis Oírr, the smallest Aran Island
Take the ferry across Galway Bay to Inis Oírr, a Gaeltacht island where the Irish language, Gaeilge, is still spoken day to this day. As you arrive, notice the low stone walls, bright water, and a shoreline shaped by the Atlantic.
Explore Inis Oírr’s castle, beaches, and shipwreck
Use free time to explore the island at your own pace, on foot or by optional bike or pony-and-trap hire. Seek out O’Brien’s Castle for sweeping views, then follow the coast to golden beaches and the Plassey Shipwreck.
Scenic coastal drive back to Galway City
Continue along the Atlantic coastline on a scenic return journey toward Galway City, passing rugged landscapes and wide ocean views along the way.
Your tour ends at HYDE Hotel
Arrive back where you started with a full loop of the west coast behind you: sea-level cliffs, island life, and the Burren’s lunar landscape. Before you go, ask your driver-guide where to eat like a local in Galway.

Good to know:
Weather dependency: The ferry crossings and the Cliffs of Moher cruise are weather dependent, so the route and timings may change. On rare occasions, the advertised plan may be altered without notice for safety.
Restrooms: This is a small group tour on a smaller vehicle, so there is no restroom on board the coach. The ferries have toilets, and you’ll also have rest and bathroom breaks during the day.
Lunch: You’ll have time to stop for lunch on Inis Oírr, and your driver-guide can point you toward good options. Lunch is not included.
Luggage: You can bring your luggage on board. It’s the same coach and driver all day, which works well if you’re connecting onward after the tour.
Accessibility: Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. If you have concerns about your mobility, please contact us in advance to discuss your needs.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can depart on time.
