Full Day Trip to Montserrat from Barcelona with Winery & 3-Course Lunch

For our last day of a long trip to the Mediterranean and in Barcelona- this was a fantastic trip. Our guide Toni was phenomenal. The bus was very comfortable, all the guides were funny and very knowledgeable on history. Monserrat Abby is a gorgeous must see, and the lovely winery, tour and 3 course lunch delicious. Highly recommend this tour and Toni!

nice tour

A long day but enjoyable- would be nice for the wine owners or workers in the winery to give a tour of the winery and participate in the tasting, rather than the tour guides. At the meeting point you should be informed prior to the trip to book in with castle tours instead of stating that the tour guide will meet you - only at the last minute did we realise we had to book in with a different company!

So worth it!!

We traveled to Barcelona and knew we wanted to do a wine tour and also check out Mont Serrat. Originally we planned on doing it separately, but opted to do a tour since it would cover the trip to Mont Serrat and saved us the headache of trying to navigate train transfers. The trip to the winery complete with lunch was a nice bonus. Food was fantastic, the venue was amazing and Gille, our guide was awesome. She was super personable, hanging out with us and chatting throughout the tour and lunch. She knew the whole area of Mont Serrat well, giving us suggestions on what to do with our 2 hours of free time. We aren't typically tour people. We favor exploring on our own, but this was a nice respite from using our brains to figure out what to do next for a day. My one gripe would be the difficulty of finding the meeting point. The bus station is easy to find, but it's big and we hard a hard time finding the actual meeting place. We were running late, so it really is our fault. If we gave ourselves more time, it would've felt less frantic. So my advice is to get there 15 minutes early to prevent running around looking for the meet point. 10/10!

A great tour - A wonderful guid!

Lynn and I and our party of 8 were thrilled with our Full Day Trip to Montserrat made very special by our guide Marek!!!! He was so enthusiastic, knowledgable and a great representative for the Tour Guy!!! He was also caring and made sure that his charges (us) were safe at all times on the trip. What a wonderful tour too. One that really should not be missed while visiting Barcelona.

Absolutely Fabulous

Our tour guide, Nerea, made this an outstanding experience. She was friendly and helpful, answering every question and providing great background information. The Montserrat Basilica was breathtaking as was seeing the Boys Choir that lives and trains there. The nearby winery was an interesting example of organic wineries in Spain and the winery tour was also led by Nerea! The lunch at the winery was excellent and really capped off an excellent day. Highly recommend, especially if Nerea is your guide!
