Your tour begins at Calle Bengoetxea

Meet your guide in central San Sebastian, just steps from Gipuzkoa Square. You will board the tour vehicle for a brief drive into the lush hills of the Basque interior, heading toward the historic cider-making village of Astigarraga.

Explore the apple orchards and press

Step into the fields of a traditional farmhouse to see where the local apple varieties are grown. You will follow your guide through the pressing areas and fermentation rooms to learn how this natural, tart cider has been crafted for over ten centuries.

Master the art of the txotx

Enter the cellar to experience the ritual of drinking directly from the barrel. You will learn how to catch the cider in your glass to aerate the liquid, enjoying a small pintxo snack as you sample different vintages from the massive wooden kupelas(barrels).
