A Journey Through Fine French Cuisine
Sure, we may call this our “Super Expensive Paris Food Tour,” but the finest things in life don't come cheap! This tour was invented for true foodies, wine lovers, and those who appreciate complex flavors and exceptional dining experiences. While this evening tour may be on the expensive side, it also gives excellent value: cocktails at one of the most elegant hotels in Paris, dinner at one of renowned Chef Alain Ducasses' restaurants, caviar, wine, soufflé, and a guide with vast knowledge of local cuisine.
Cocktails at Oscar Wilde's Paris Hideaway
Begin your lavish evening at L’Hotel, one of Paris’ most luxurious hotels. Consistently rated a top hotel in Paris by Condé Nast Traveler, L’Hotel provides the classic French ambiance that the city is famous for. As you sip some carefully selected pre-dinner cocktails, your guide will tell you the story of your historic setting, which served as the last residence of literary genius Oscar Wilde. Guests at this hotel can even stay in a suite inspired by Oscar Wilde, valued around $1,000 per night.
Blind Caviar Tasting
At the first restaurant you visit, you won't simply sit down and enjoy a plate of local caviar. Your guide will walk you through a blind caviar tasting, where you'll sample three different types of caviar. You’ll learn the background of this expensive yet delicious dish and the different varieties and flavors on offer. Each caviar goes perfectly with specific local wines, which your guide will help you pair for the ultimate caviar tasting experience.
Roasted Duck at One of Paris' Last True Bistros
Now for the pièce de résistance. For your main course of the evening, you 'll dine in an elegant restaurant owned by Michelin chef Alain Ducasse—one of the most famous chefs in the world. When you walk into this classic Parisian bistro, you’ll notice that it offers a relaxed speakeasy setting. After the maître d’ greets you, you’ll be seated at a cozy table with your group and guide where you'll enjoy a Bordeaux. Enjoy a tender, juicy roasted duck prepared by Alain Ducasse’s team of world-class chefs. With Edith Piaf playing peacefully in the background, savor a classic French dinner of Paris’ last true bistros.
Delicious Soufflé for Dessert
After your main course, it’s time for something sweet. Follow your guide to finish off your evening of culinary experiences at another of Paris’ premier restaurants. Your expert guide will lead you to Le Récamier where you will enjoy a light soufflé. As a dessert that has been a French staple since the 18th century, soufflé has become a symbol of French cuisine. Your guide will describe the intricacies of this beloved dessert as you enjoy the delicate, sweet flavors.
Au Revoir for the Evening
Filled with the gourmet food and drinks of Paris, and with a newfound understanding of French culinary history and culture, it's time to wave goodbye to you guide and group. Before you go, make sure to take a note of your guide's expert recommendations so you can explore more of Paris' renowned eateries before you leave.

We had a great experience with this tour. As it is indeed, super expensive, my wife and I were the only ones with our guide, Amelie. She was worth the price, alone! Great caviar tasting and then delicious cocktails and charcuterie with live jazz at a cozy hotel bar. To finish, a wonderful dinner with a great wine selection, to call it an evening. Would totally recommend
