Itinerary
Your tour begins at Interlaken Shop, Höheweg 95
Meet your guide outside the shop below Hotel Hapimag, near the Kirchhofer Casino Gallery. After a quick check-in, board the coach and settle in for the scenic ride into the Jungfrau region.
Ride to Grindelwald Terminal by coach
Travel through the Lauterbrunnen Valley area toward Grindelwald as your guide sets the day’s game plan. Watch chalet villages and steep green slopes give way to higher peaks as you approach the gondola station.
Board the Eiger Express cable car to Eiger Glacier
Step into the Eiger Express for a panoramic cable car ride toward Eiger mountain. As altitude climbs, the views sharpen into rock faces and hanging glaciers, with the North Face looming across the valley.
Ride the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch
Next, switch to the historic cogwheel train for the final ascent to Jungfraujoch, known as the Top of Europe. This is Europe’s highest railway station at 3,454 meters. The route tunnels through the mountains, then opens to a high-alpine world of ice, snow, and sky.
Explore Alpine Sensation and the Ice Palace
Follow the Alpine Sensation route, then head into the Ice Palace carved within the glacier. See intricately carved statues of ice, and walk through glittering tunnels and sculpted chambers that feel worlds away from the green valleys you left behind.
Take in views from the Sphinx terrace and Plateau
Then step onto the Sphinx Observation Terrace and the Plateau for wide-open alpine panoramas across the UNESCO-listed Swiss Alps. On clear days, you can spot the Aletsch Glacier stretching like a frozen river below.
Your tour ends in Interlaken, where it began
After returning down the mountain and traveling back by coach, arrive at the same Interlaken meeting point. Use the rest of the evening for lakeside strolling, dinner in town, or a reset after the altitude.
