Semi-Private Vatican Tour with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica

Great tour and wonderful tour guide

Sarah was a terrific guide. With over 20 years of experience as a guide and a comprehensive knowledge of the Vatican (based on her long term employment with the Vatican), as well as her engaging personality, she was perfect for the task at hand. In a relatively short period of time she gave us a rich and deep understanding of the Vatican, made sure we saw the most critical sights, and shared with us her personal stories of being employed in the Vatican. Highly recommended.

The Vatican museums are a vast expanse of invaluable art and collections. Jessica did really well to take us through it all in 3 hours. This tour also has the ‘shortcut’ access to St Peter’s Basilica, although nothing in the Vatican is without a queue (this was end-October). If you’re doing just one tour, I’d highly recommend this one. If you’re planning to do a more detailed visit (which will take you the best part of a day, at the bare minimum) this is an excellent precursor.

Awesome tour!

Sirikki was absolutely amazing (and shout out to our excellent driver Massimo!) to walk the steps of Paul was an experience. Mostly off the beaten path of the typical touristy places, we found meaning, purpose and oddly serenity along our way. Learned much and appreciate everything even more.

Vatican Tour

Very successful tour primarily because our tour guide, Anna, was very informative and engaging. From the start of the tour while navigating the entry and security line she kept up the discussion of a variety of features around us. We noticed other tour guides from other companies were just shepherding their groups without much interaction. Anna was also accommodating our slower pace and kept a watchful eye on our group making sure we all could see what she was describing. Overall excellent. Kathy and Paul.

Excellent experience

We took the tour with Sara and she was great. She was easy to understand and since there were only 10 of us, we could ask questions. Sara has been a tour guide for 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge. Even though you still wait in some lines, it’s nothing compared to big groups or people on their own. I highly recommend this tour company.

Great tour with Serena

Thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour. While we wish we could have had more time at palatine hill, we knew there’s only so much you can do in a tour of this breadth in this amount of time. Serena did take us to an additional area at my other half’s request which made the tour a little extra special. I would highly recommend any of TheTourGuy Rome tours! The small group setting and having someone to guide us through busier parts of the colosseum as we entered and got our bearings was so helpful.
