Itinerary
Meet your guide at St. Mark’s Square
Your tour begins between the iconic columns of San Marco and San Teodoro in St. Mark’s Square. Here, you'll meet your guide and get a brief introduction to the excursion ahead.
Take a Private Boat to Murano island
Board a sleek boat bound for Murano Island. As you cross the Venetian Lagoon, you’ll pass clusters of small islands and enjoy the calm waters that feel worlds away from Venice’s often crowded canals.
Watch a glass blowing demonstration
On Murano, visit a glassblower’s studio and see centuries of skill in action. Feel the heat as molten glass transforms into a shining piece of art while your guide explains the craft that made this island famous around the world.
Cruise over to Burano island
A short boat ride takes you to Burano, a vibrant fisherman's island known for its colorful houses. Your guide will explain the tradition behind the bright facades—painted so fishermen could find their homes through the dense lagoon fog.
Witness a delicate lacemaking demonstration
Then step inside a small workshop to watch artisans practice the intricate art of lacemaking. Discover why Burano's delicate lace was once treasured by European royalty and see firsthand the incredible patience and skill this craft demands.

We had a great time visiting the glass blowing demonstration and browsing the glass gallery. Their pieces are truly one of a kind! The lace making in Burano was good too and the shop was filled with beautiful handmade items.
The best part of the tour was our guide, Claudia! She exudes excitement and her enthusiasm for Italy and our specific tour locations was highly contagious! She was hands-down the best tour guide we had during our travels in Europe.

Really enjoyed the day. Both tour guides were wonderful and had great information for us. In the AM we had Rita and she was very informative and I don't remember the name of the afternoon guide but she was also great.

We had 4 adults and 5 kids and it was a truly wonderful way to spend the day! The boat ride was a lovely reprieve from the heat and the glass factory was really amazing to see. Burano was beautiful. We would recommend this group to anyone of any age! And Flack’s truly made it special with lots of interesting facts and stories about Venice and the surrounding islands.

We really loved our half day boat tour of Murano and Burano. Our tour guide was super informative and helpful. We enjoyed hearing about the history of Murano and Burano. Touring the glass blowing shop was very interesting and unique. One a kind experience and not something you normally get while staying on the main island in Venice. Our favorite stop was Burano. super quaint, picturesque island. Walking around and see all the colorful housing was so fun.

We actually did the full day Venice trip and it was all great. The morning guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and really all of Italy. Really enjoyed all the morning activities. Then after lunch we did Murano and Burano, which was also amazing. Lots to see and do and very knowledgeable guide! She was lovely and had lots of great facts and history to share. We had the most amazing gelato in Burato, like for real the best!

This tour was great! Flavia was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. We went as a family with a 21 yr old and 28 yr old. Everyone enjoyed it. It did feel a little rushed though - I would suggest a longer tour! Burano is very charming and one hour is not nearly enough. When the tour left, my daughter and I stayed behind in Burano for two more hours and then took the public boat back to Venice.

Very happy I booked this tour. Went on this tour this morning with our tour guide, Flavia! She was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, warm/ welcoming/genuine, and happy to answer any of our questions whether it was about general knowledge or traveling around Italy. Would highly recommend this tour. Seeing the city of Venice, Murano, and Burano are all amazing on their own, but Flavia made it even better! Thank you!

Really a great way to spend an afternoon. The Murano glass experience was fine. However, Burano is really quaint. The cafes and shops are very charming as are their shop owners. On the way over you will discover "Lido" another small island. Not on the tour, but definitely worth going to to explore another day.
