Itinerary
Meet your guide at St. Mark’s Square
Your tour begins between the iconic columns of San Marco and San Teodoro in St. Mark’s Square. Here, you'll meet your guide and get a brief introduction to the excursion ahead.
Take a Private Boat to Murano island
Board a sleek boat bound for Murano Island. As you cross the Venetian Lagoon, you’ll pass clusters of small islands and enjoy the calm waters that feel worlds away from Venice’s often crowded canals.
Watch a glass blowing demonstration
On Murano, visit a glassblower’s studio and see centuries of skill in action. Feel the heat as molten glass transforms into a shining piece of art while your guide explains the craft that made this island famous around the world.
Cruise over to Burano island
A short boat ride takes you to Burano, a vibrant fisherman's island known for its colorful houses. Your guide will explain the tradition behind the bright facades—painted so fishermen could find their homes through the dense lagoon fog.
Witness a delicate lacemaking demonstration
Then step inside a small workshop to watch artisans practice the intricate art of lacemaking. Discover why Burano's delicate lace was once treasured by European royalty and see firsthand the incredible patience and skill this craft demands.

I took a boat tour to the glassblowing factories of Murano and watched the glassmaking demonstrations. It was fascinating to see the master craftsman’s at work! Our guide, Flavia, was amazing, providing us history, background details of the island and its centuries old tradition! We also visited Burano, a small island with bright colored homes and vibrant canals. Here the locals make lace by hand- a true artwork! I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was absolutely wonderful, and we highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring both Burano and Murano, especially their renowned glass blowing and lace-making traditions. Murano’s glass artisans were mesmerizing to watch, and visiting the galleries afterward allowed us to fully appreciate the incredible craftsmanship—without any pressure to buy.
Burano was equally magical. The colorful buildings are like living works of art, the lace-making demonstrations were fascinating, and the locals were warm and welcoming. We even had free time to explore charming coffee shops and restaurants, making the experience feel both rich and relaxing.
Our guide, Flavia, was truly exceptional. Her knowledge, passion, and leadership kept the group engaged and focused while sharing deep insights about everything we saw. It’s rare to find a guide who can balance fun, learning, and organization so seamlessly, and Flavia did it with grace.
Thank you, Flavia, for sharing your love for the area and providing a tour that we will remember forever. This experience is an absolute must for anyone visiting Venice!

I was somewhat disappointed that we didn't get to see more of Murano. The tour led us to just one glass actory and then direcetly to the store. We were essentially a captive of the store for 45 minutes. No culture, just expensive glass. Burano was a little better but cut short by bad weather (not your fault).
