Your tour begins at the Torres de Serranos

Meet your guide at the base of these massive 14th-century Gothic gates in central Valencia. You’ll board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus for a 45-minute drive north into the Sierra de Espadán mountains, where the hidden cave entrance is located.

Navigate the underground river by boat

Board a small boat to travel 850 meters along Europe's longest navigable underground river. You’ll drift through flooded limestone passages, passing the echoing "cathedral" chamber where the ceiling is covered in thousands of hanging stalactites.

Explore the cave paths on foot

Next, you’ll step onto dry ground to walk through the upper cave system. Your guide will show you towering stalagmites and UNESCO-listed prehistoric art while explaining how these massive rock chambers were shaped by water over millions of years.

Take in the views from the Iberian settlement

Enjoy 30 minutes of free time to hike up to the ruins of an ancient Iberian village perched directly above the cave entrance. From this archaeological site, you can see panoramic views of the entire natural park and the valley below.
