Stonehenge Inner Circle Tour at Sunrise
Despite centuries of theorizing and researching, historians and archaeologists still can't agree on exactly how Stonehenge was constructed. At 13 by 7 ft and weighing nearly 25 tons each, it's shocking to wonder how this impressive structure could have been erected without the help of machines. Gaze at the stones in awe, taking in the stories of pagan spirituality that make Stonehenge so mysterious.
For the ultimate Stonehenge experience, it's best to visit when there's not many people around. Built to line up with the sunrise on the solstice, this tour lets you see Stonehenge at a magical time of day. You'll also get special access to enter the Inner Circle that's off-limits to daytime visitors, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and imagine the Druid rituals that may have occurred here.
Salisbury Cathedral
After visiting the ancient marvel that is Stonehenge, head to a more modern period of British history. Not far from Stonehenge you will find the small city of Salisbury.
In Salisbury, visit the 13th Century Gothic Cathedral home to the tallest church spire in the UK. This is also where the original Magna Carta is stored and displayed. The famous document from 1215 marked a huge change in British civilization that had echoes around the globe, stating for the first time that the monarchy and government would no longer be above the law.

Growing up I always wanted to see Stonehenge after studying in in school. It always intrigued me! Taking this tour was a dream come true and I savored every moment of it. Getting in early before there were a lot of people made it even more magical. I will be back again on the solstice and would take this tour in a heartbeat.
