Between TMark Hotel Vaticano and Caffé Vaticano, at the top of the big staircase (Viale Vaticano, 100). A friendly representative will be there holding a sign with our company name on it.
In addition to wearing or bringing clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, it's recommended to wear comfortable shoes. You're also welcome to bring a water bottle as it can get hot inside the Vatican during the summer months.

First let me say The Tour Guy group are great communicators. Emails and texts were sent back and forth between us and ensured a smooth process. We took a private tour. Simply put, it was extraordinary. While there is simply no way to “see it all” through a single tour or a few hours time, but the pace was perfect. We didn't feel rushed. Our tour was 3 hours and it was just right in our opinion. Our guide, (Ellie (sp?)) was fun, educational, informed, caring, checking on us to make sure we were all doing well. She was exceptional. A real pro and very, very well educated. The Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica is frankly overwhelming in its scale, architecture, art and of course its religious significance. As an architect, the Basilica is a place I’ve dreamt about from a young age. It’s an emotional journey for so many, including us, and it was only made possible and significantly better by Ellie and her deft knowledge of all that we saw. It was perfect and we are so grateful for a an unforgettable experience. Thank you.

Marzia was wonderful tour guide. Our visit was while the Conclave of Cardinals was in session and normal visitor routine disrupted. Security increased and media everywhere. Marzia navigated us through the crowds, smiled at a security guard and got him to open a couple of shuttered windows to permit breathtaking views and photos. While we were disappointed that we could not access the Sistine Chapel, Marzia provided us a memorable tour of the museum and other spaces open to the public.

Tania was excellent, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Vatican while being both kind and accommodating throughout the tour.
Sidenote: Due to the large crowds, it was occasionally difficult to hear, even within our small group. Having a microphone or audio system would have enhanced the experience.

I reserved a private tour for my 88 year old mother who had never been to the Vatican. Marina was the absolute perfect guide. She literally held onto my mom's arm, She explained everything, and she was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and caring.
