Between TMark Hotel Vaticano and Caffé Vaticano, at the top of the big staircase (Viale Vaticano, 100). A friendly representative will be there holding a sign with our company name on it.
In addition to wearing or bringing clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, it's recommended to wear comfortable shoes. You're also welcome to bring a water bottle as it can get hot inside the Vatican during the summer months.

Our guide, Serena, was so passionate about the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum that she fit about a semester’s worth of art history into our tour— all while keeping us on the move and engaged. There’s so much to take in and look at but without the context our guide provided, it could have been a blur. Instead, we got a focused tour and we were able to bypass long lines. Well worth the investment if you can do a private tour, but a group tour with VIP entrance is worth it here too.

Lia was the most knowledgeable and lovely tour guide. She felt like family. Over the 2+ hours we learned and laughed so much with Lia. She is incredibly kind and has so much insightful knowledge to share! This was our third time at the Vatican, first time with a tour. I can’t recommend Lia enough! Next time we are in Rome we will be seeing if we can have Lia provide us with another tour!

Daisuke is an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of the art and history of the Vatican is extensive. Daisuke explains the artistic, architectural, historic and cultural significance of selected paintings, sculptures and buildings in an engaging way. I cannot imagine navigating the Vatican Museums and heavy crowds without the guidance of an experienced professional like Daisuke.

Very good tour. Private tour gave opportunity to interact on history and relevance. Very crowded but private gave the ability to move through more efficiently. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Down side was fast pace and feeling at end more time could have been spent.

We booked a private tour. Yamuna (sorry for misspelling) is very knowledge and made use of time by pointing out the more important points on the tour. Despite the crowds she was able to walk us through what we are expecting to see and was able to answer questions. Very professional, engaging and so approachable. Highly recommend this tour.

We didn't know what to expect of our private tour of The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica but we lucked out with our tour guide, Lia. She was so sweet and knowledgable and really tailored the tour to us. She also helped accommodate our slight mobility issues. While we were not thrilled with The Tour Guy for not at least partially refunding or rescheduling a missed Colosseum tour due to a cancelled flight, we thoroughly enjoyed our Vatican tour with Lia and highly recommend her as a guide!

First let me say The Tour Guy group are great communicators. Emails and texts were sent back and forth between us and ensured a smooth process. We took a private tour. Simply put, it was extraordinary. While there is simply no way to “see it all” through a single tour or a few hours time, but the pace was perfect. We didn't feel rushed. Our tour was 3 hours and it was just right in our opinion. Our guide, (Ellie (sp?)) was fun, educational, informed, caring, checking on us to make sure we were all doing well. She was exceptional. A real pro and very, very well educated. The Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica is frankly overwhelming in its scale, architecture, art and of course its religious significance. As an architect, the Basilica is a place I’ve dreamt about from a young age. It’s an emotional journey for so many, including us, and it was only made possible and significantly better by Ellie and her deft knowledge of all that we saw. It was perfect and we are so grateful for a an unforgettable experience. Thank you.
