Intriguing towns but chaotic lunch

Our guide and driver were professional and informative with a sense of humor. The lunch food was only okay and the wine tasting pairings were not explained well. The town walks were challenging but interesting.
Great tour!
The tour was well organized and the guide was fantastic and Very knowledgable!! The pace allowed for ample time to explore and still make four stops. Would recommend!

The tour was great for where it went for the stops. The lunch was very disappointing, the worst meal we had in Italy. Our tour guide was Semih. He was terrible. He walked so fast some of the older ones in the group could not keep up. He slept on the bus and provided very little information. The Orvieto and Bagnoregio stops were incredible.
Very disappointed, do not recommend

While our guide was lovely and the bus driver was great as well, the tour was exceptionally disappointing. It felt highly commercialized & not authentic! Our stops at Orvieto & the 'Dying City' were really beautiful, but in between they brought us to this "market" where you were forced to walk through this labyrinth of stalls selling ridiculously marked up products, while a "non-Italian" woman spoke through a microphone like an auctioneer rambling on about 'deals & discounts'. You couldn't exit the market without walking through the cash line ups. We then proceeded to our "tuscan farm & vineyard" for an "authentic Tuscan lunch & wine tasting" -- we passed a gorgeous table outside set for maybe 20 people, but then were hurried through a scripted speech about "my sister is making you our homemade spaghetti right now" & then they shuffle us all into a giant cafeteria-like room with multiple huge tour groups (honestly probably 100 people in there), basically dropping food in front of us without explanation, pouring wine 'tastes' so fast & sloppy it would spill & the wine was not good, & no one was pleasant. A table beside us continuously was forgotten & we could see them all getting upset. When we were leaving we were again forced through a 'gift shop' where the products were so obscenely overpriced (imagine 55€ for a tiny pot of honey!). It all felt like a huge gimmick.
The only reason the tour is getting 2 stars as I did feel our tour guide tried her best to make the experience positive, & the two scenic towns were very pretty (we enjoyed having free time at both). But we will never again book a large tour group like this again & do not recommend this tour.

Unforgettable
It was a fantastic day trip for first timers to rome. The tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the entire country of italy and the tour bus driver did a fantastic job. All 3 stops on this trip. We're really unforgettable highly recommend
A Highlight of our Trip to Rome
Well organized and informative. Chiara was caring, smart, friendly, and made us feel welcome. You can tell she really loves what she does. We happened to sit near the front of the bus where we could hear her commentary very well during the ride. She enriched our experience with facts about Rome, Orvieto, Tuscany, Civita di Bagnoregio
and all the places in between as well as Italy as a whole. This tour helped us see places that may have been difficult for us to get to without a dedicated tour or renting a car. I can't wait to plan a trip back and maybe spend some more time in these areas. They were truly charming and unforgettable. It was also a nice break from the July heat in Rome as we were in the cooler areas in the hills. We made a pitstop at a place that makes and sells a variety of Italian foods. We were able to sample things like chocolate, olive oil, dips, and wine at no cost. I thought this was a neat opportunity to try and buy authentic and locally sourced items to bring home but I can see why some people in other reviews were a little taken aback by it since it wasn't mentioned in the tour description. The vineyard in Tuscany was breathtaking. They made homemade pasta as the main dish and some appetizers. As a vegetarian, I was prepared if I couldn't eating anything but Chiara assured that I could eat almost everything aside from the obvious. The food was so good. The red wine was my favorite, the white and blush tasted a bit like moonshine. On another note, I was thankful I saw a review that mentioned the physical aspects of the trip so we could be mentally and physically prepared. We brought our 11 month old and even though our stroller was light and folded up (and we were accustomed to the terrain of Rome by then), there were many hills and terrain to conquer whether we pushed it or carried it. This didn't take from our experience at all, we would do it all over again. Our baby did very well and we had an unforgettable experience as a family. Our driver was patient, friendly, and we felt safe the entire time. I'm so glad this tour is offered and allowed us to see a little bit more of Italy during our trip to Rome.

This was great!
This was a great day and a great tour. Our guide, Barbara, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and spoke excellent English. I do think that there should be more details about the physical requirements of the day. There were some people with us (older, with small children and strollers) that struggled with all of the steps, inclines, and distances. It is a very physical day. The towns are stunning and the views are gorgeous! Lunch and wine tasting were fabulous, and it was a special treat to get down into the wine cellar.
You can't miss Civita di Bagnoregio

From start to finish, this tour was flawless. Walking through Civita di Bagnoregio felt like stepping into another world, and Orvieto was equally enchanting. The highlight? The wine tasting!

This tour was an absolute dream! Civita di Bagnoregio felt like a hidden gem, and Orvieto’s stunning cathedral was unforgettable. The wine tasting was top-notch, including the Brunelo. Lunch was a true Italian experience, with three delicious courses that paired perfectly with the wines. A seamless, well-organized day that felt like a true escape from the city!
