You’ll meet your friendly chef and fellow students in Trastevere, not far from Ponte Garibaldi. You’ll learn about the simple ingredients that make such memorable foods, not to mention the many different types of pasta you could cut from your rolled-out dough. So, tie that apron on, wash your hands, sip that wine, and get to kneading!
Trastevere Pasta-Making Class Description
Your 2-hour Trastevere cooking experience includes:
Hands-on instruction from professional chefs
Use of professional cooking equipment
Homemade pasta meal with a choice of sauces

Fresh Fettuccine Pasta
The secret to Italian cooking is to use fewer ingredients than you’d think. And that holds true for making pasta. Great pasta is all about the freshness and the techniques, and you’ll be taught by a chef who knows all the tricks.
Mix, knead, stretch, and roll that dough before learning about all the different types of pasta you could cut from it. You’ll try the classic maltagliati that’s basically all the “unwanted” pieces that work so well in a tasty soup or pasta. Of course, you’re here for fettuccine, so that’s what you’ll focus on.
You’ll feel a thrill when you lift that knife and the fettuccine unfolds into beautiful strands of pasta dough! Remember to snap a pic of your accomplishment!

Whether you’re here for lunch, afternoon snack, or dinner, you’ll certainly want to enjoy eating what you’ve made! So choose your favorite sauce like amatriciana, cacio e pepe, or tomato with basil, then head to your table and get to know your fellow travelers while you wait and sip your wine or soft drink.

We took the homemade pasta making class, and it was the absolute best experience! Our teacher was great, there was a family of 6 and another couple, plus us - perfect size group. We were able to eat what we made, there was a glass of wine and a dessert drink provided. In nearly two weeks visiting, this was my favorite thing we've experienced. The restaurant/store is off the beaten path, but close to the main street. They have patisserie items, food items to go, candies, coffees, wines, and a full restaurant. Next time we are in Italy, we will absolutely be back!
