Positano and Amalfi Day Trip from Rome with Boat Cruise

Positano Tour

Our tour guide, Flavio, was outstanding! The locations are beautiful. The amount of time spent in Positano (2 hrs) and Amalfi (45 mins) were too short in comparison to all the travel time there and back from Rome. The water taxi to the locations was lovely but overall, I would have enjoyed a day or two rather than a day trip.

Good Tour but Overcrowded Coast

Overall the tour was great - long day for sure! We got back to Rome at around 8:45PM. The logistics of the bus went great. The logistics of the boat/ferry in between the Amalfi islands was hectic due to how busy and crowded Positano and Amalfi were. It was a hot 90*F day which made for a long, hot, and exhausting day. Overall, I would recommend this tour but be mindful of the busy tourist season and heat!

Tour with Flavio (and driver Anthony?) – June 21

Flavio is all charm and warmth—a total sweetheart of a guide who made our Amalfi Coast experience dreamy and fun. His energy was relaxed which was perfect for such a scenic day. Pro tip: Ask him where to find the best local restaurants—he’s got all the insider food tips. Special shoutout to our bus driver (we think your name was Anthony—if not, we owe the real MVP some limoncello). Smooth driving and honestly the best bus ride we’ve had on this whole trip. Hats off to both of you!

Dynamite Day Trip

Marius is such a terrific and informative group leader. He has a wonderful disposition. The boat ride is relaxing with sites all around. The lemon sorbert’s are out of this world. Look for lemon gelato served in a huge hollowed out lemon. I had enough time to take a 10-15 minute dip into the sea, which hit the spot on such a hot day. It’s very easy to find the group at Piazza del Popolo.

Worth the trip

My wife and I took a day trip from Rome to the Amalfi coast. Barbara did a fantastic job giving us information on the long bus ride to Serrano. We were able to enjoy a nice lunch in Positano and still have the time to explore and walk around the beautiful town for a bit. Amalfi was also another nice stop. Either stop made my wife and I decide we would be coming back for a longer visit at some point. And Barbara was an absolutely wonderful guide.

Fun tour, great guide!

Tour packed full of stuff to do. This is a very time sensitive agenda and our guide made sure to impress that fact to everyone so we could all have an enjoyable day. She also gave great info and recommendations for each location that didn't disappoint. This could have been a much different experience with a different guide, but she made it GREAT!

Excellent tour

Johnathan was absolutely amazing on our day tour to Amalfi and Positano … he kept us entertained on the 3 hour bus ride there and back and gave us some amazing tips and historical background …. 10/10 would recommend

What an amazing day

Rob was hands down one of the best tour guides I have ever experienced. His knowledge, gentle nature and animated dialogue were next level. Only wish was a bit more time in Amalfi rather than Positano. Amalfi is amazing and you must do the lemon sorbetto but remember the further you walk the cheaper and better they become so don’t be tempted to stop at first store.
