Amazing Trip to Pompeii

Our private day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius was amazing. Our guide in Pompeii, Sasha, was very knowledgeable and really brought the city to life with his stories and descriptions. Unfortunately weather had the trail on Mount Vesuvius closed by the government, but Sasha and our amazing driver John Franco took us to Naples for lunch and to see the area.
This private tour really makes going to Pompeii from Rome easy; much better than playing with trains and busses. Thank you!

I would highly recommend the day trip to Pompeii and hike up Mt Vesuvius. Our driver Roberto was fantastic and our guides were wonderful.
Great walking tour of Venice with a bonus ride in a gondola
This was a great walking tour of Venice in 2 parts, morning and afternoon. Our guide Marco was excellent. He had the headsets and microphones that are so important when doing a walking tour in a city, so that we could hear him at all times. He took us around parts of the city to see hidden areas, and spent just the right amount of time walking, then stopping to talk about an area without lingering too long. You could tell he was a very experienced tour guide and I appreciated this. The gondola ride was so nice, and there were just 2 of us on the gondola which I was pleasantly surprised that we weren't grouped heavier, so that was very nice. The afternoon in the Doge's Palace was also at a perfect pace of walking, stopping, and talking. Thank you for a perfect tour in Venice.

Please work out bathroom stops with your driver. There are none available at Vesuvius except for one in a store for customers only. After a 3-hour early morning drive, this is a big problem. Our guides were awesome. Roberto (Vesuvius) + Andreu (Pompeii) were patient, informative, and really nice guys. Our driver, Gianluca was the BEST!!! This was a physically demanding tour -- LOTS of climbing, and LOTS of walking. We're in pretty good shape, but were too tired to fully appreciate all the great info at the end of the day. I would suggest going to Vesuvius, then spending the night in Sorrento or nearby, then enjoying Pompeii the next day.
Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius day trip
We took this tour on June 19, 2019. What a great trip! We had no idea how much there was to see! Our tour guide at Pompeii was wonderful and very knowledgeable! We were engaged from beginning to end - so much history! We really appreciated his expertise. After Pompeii we went to Mt. Vesuvius and had another wonderful guide! Wear good walking shoes and sunscreen! Well worth it - we highly recommend this adventure.
Vesuvius
We took our kids on this tour and they loved every second of it. The van was air-conditioned ( thank god) and the driver and guides were funny. Claudia in Pompeii really took an interest in our kids and made it a great day for them.
Expensive, but worth it
This tour wasn't cheap, but we bought 2 other tours in Rome and they gave us a little discount which helped. I've always wanted to see Pompeii and this made it easy. Hotel pick up, clean comfortable car, driver didn't chat to much and drove fine. Guides in Pompeii are great too.. really funny. You can tell Naples has the funniest people in Italy. My kids LOVED Vesuvius. Climbing up a volcano was the highlight of their trip.
