We very much enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She had a notebook of pictures illustrating the original structures as she was showing them to us which was very helpful. I have a cochlear implant and could not wear the ear phones so I had to walk with her and she had to speak directly to me. That was hard for her since it was crowded and noisy but she did an excellent job which was much appreciated.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Only concern was the speed. Almost running down the stairs from the Palpatine to the Colosseum. Very difficult for some to keep up. Felt rushed at the end.

I was disappointed in the tour as we saw little of the
Colosseum other than an exterior hallway
and only a few minutes to look at the floor area.
Our guide had a thick accent and spoke so quickly that it was very difficult to hear what was being said. My husband completely gave up trying to listen and missed out on all the information.
It was the same for the Palatine area.
If I schedule another tour it will have to be a
completely different format so that we can better see, and hear about, what we are seeing.

With hordes of tourists in Rome, we decided to splerge and pay to skip the line and get a tour, and it was worth it. Marcella brought the history to life and paced the tour marvelously. The smaller group made it managable. If you're going to pay for a tour, this is it.
Great tour!

This was a fantastic tour! It was on the shorter side (3 hours), which is just about perfect for both locations to hit the main points and sights. Our tour guide David did a great job describing everything and answering questions.
