With us, skip the line to these historic tombs and step into the Capuchin Crypts adorned with the bones of 3,700 friars. Visit Santa Maria in Cosmedin and Pope Hadrian’s Crypt, uncovering the stories of popes and martyrs buried below. With transportation included, this tour connects you to Rome’s most haunting and fascinating sites with ease.
Make your way to Piazza Barberini in central Rome, where you’ll meet your guide holding a sign in front of the fountain (Fontana del Tritone). Along with a small group of up to 25 people and your engaging guide, you’ll walk a couple of minutes to the Capuchin Crypts to view the hauntingly beautiful Bone Chapels. Meet your friendly guide in central Rome in front of the Fontana del Tritone at Piazza Barberini. A representative will be there holding a sign with The Tour Guy name on it. Your tour will end at Bocca della Verità.
Wear comfortable shoes for this walking tour. In spring and autumn, we recommend bringing a light jacket.

We had Arvin as our tour guide. Very informative and organized. He took great care to insure that all participants knew how to return especially since the drop off location needed to change. We found his handling of the tour indicated he has much tour guiding experience. Tour itself was filled with new and valued experiences. Would highly recommend. On another note we found the tour guy company’s level of communication was far superior to other companies used in the past. Again would highly recommend this company!

The Capuchin Crypts tour and the guide were great. The catacombs tour was not that interesting and not worth the time and money, especially because the guide was not that interesting and hard to hear.

This tour is very unique and interesting. The tour guide was excellent and was very respectful of the premises since it is a graveyard and a holy site. The use of bones as ornamental decorations in the tombs were creative and creepy. However, it was not scary and you did not see bones lying in the tombs. The tour guide was very informative about the burial practices of the early Christians from the first and second centuries and up to 500 A.D. Our family enjoy the tour. It was a good tour and we recommend it.

Our “The Tour Guy” guide was very knowledgeable and had a lot of interesting history to share. Her depth of historic information was great and really engaging. The other guide out at the crypts could have added more color to that part of the tour. Overall, it was a different view of Rome and very eye opening.
