There is no dress code for this tour, but we recommend comfortable and athletic clothing. Keep in mind that the temperature inside the catacombs is 61\u00baF (16\u00baC), so you may want to pack layers.

In the spirit of seeing as much of Rome\u2019s Appian Way as possible, we will not be stopping at every site. You'll still get to admire the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella, the Circus of Maxentius, the Mausoleum of Romulus, and more.

Food is not included in the price of this tour, and we recommend enjoying breakfast before joining. We're also happy to recommend one of our favorite restaurants after the tour, and your guide is sure to point you in the right direction, too.

No, but if you bike up a thirst, our guides are happy to recommend a good spot to grab a drink after the tour. We recommend bringing water with you, as you'll be walking for approximately two hours.

Yes, everyone is welcome on our Appian Way and Catacombs walking tour. We also offer a discounted rate for those aged 12 years and younger and children five and under are free.

Why do I have to pay for my child who's under 12 years old?

Accepted Answer

We charge a discounted rate to anyone between the ages of 6 and 12. This is because we limit the total number of guests on each departure, which includes children, and only a certain number of tickets are sold for the catacombs each day.
