Paris in a Day: Louvre Entry + Guided Montmartre & City Walks

Great tour!

Great way to see some of the main highlights of Paris with a knowledgeable tour guide. A very well organised tour and the guide was super helpful.

Average at Best

The tour name shouldn't include the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame cathedral for simply doing a quick walk by. Most of us in our tour group thought that we were going to tour the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame and were disappointed that it wasn't the case.

Wonderful tour!

Our morning started off a little rough. We took the wrong train trying to get to the Place des Abbesses…. Got off the train because we were headed back to the airport! Pretty stressful, but we ended up contacting The Tour Guy and told them we were running late. We took an Uber to Sacré Coeur and texted the tour contact when we arrived. Sent them a picture of my wife and I so they would know what we looked like too. That really helped because when the tour arrived to Sacré Coeur from Montmartre, our guide Julie found us right away! So, we missed the first hour or so, but from then on, all was well! We had a lovely time seeing the sights and listening to our expertly knowledgeable guide Julie. She really was wonderfully informative and kind. Seeing the Louvre and all the art and exhibits was fantastic. After the museum, we toured the Ile de la Cite. That was really cool, because with Julie explaining all the landmarks and accompanying history, we came away with really getting an excellent first hand education on the history and significance that increased our appreciation of Paris. Also, navigating the train was way easier with Julie at the helm! All in all, baring our late start, we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this trip to anyone who wants a small group, personable tour of Paris. The walking was not bad, we are over 50, and we were able to make it with minimal end of day foot pains! Thank you Julie, and thank you Tour Guy for the memories!

One Day in Paris

This tour was so worth it as it encompassed a lot of the sites in Paris in just one day. Guide was also knowledgeable and entertaining. However, be prepared for a lot of walking like 15,000 steps or more! We even used the subway to and from major sites! Seine River cruise was a welcome surprise at the end!

This tour is so worth it! It’s a lot of walking but you get to see so much of Paris. Our tour guide Nkay was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. I highly recommend this agency.

Paris in a Day

Fabio met us in Montmarte and set the tone for a great day of learning and discovery. We saw a lot of great sights in a short period of time. Fabio was able to maneuver us around crowds and kept us on task. If you don’t have a lot of time and want to see a lot, this is a good choice. Thanks for the great day in Paris!

Not to be missed

This was our first tour with The Tour Guy. It definitely won’t be our last. The tour covered in one day what would have taken us three days on our own. Plus, we didn’t have to deal with the hassle of standing in line, and our guide (Aida) gave us great insights into French history and culture. Most impressively, she guided us through the Louvre, weaving from room to room, hitting all the most famous works of art (including the Mona Lisa), and providing expert commentary along the way like an art historian. I think the only reason not to do the tour might be if you don’t want to do a full day of walking (with a leisurely break for lunch). Otherwise, the tour is a really smart investment of your time and money.

We saw a lot on our 1 day tour of Paris!

Fabio did a great job guiding us around Paris! We started at Montmarte, learning about the transition of the area from religion, to agriculture, to artistry, to the vibrant area it is today. We saw the beautiful Sacre Coeur. Fabio guided us on the metro to Notre Dame. We explored the Latin quarter for lunch. After lunch, we hit the highlights in the Louvre. Fabio guided to the most famous pieces efficiently. We were face to face with the Mona Lisa very quickly, along with Napoleon’s coronation. We saw Nike, Venus de Milo, and learned about the earliest history of the Louvre, before it was a museum and palace. We then made our way to the Trocadero to see the Iron Lady. We said goodbye to Fabio there. We went on to the boat ride down the Seine, which was a nice breather after all the walking. Overall, a great day and itinerary to see Paris!

Monika was very knowledgeable and loved the trip to the Louvre. The small group size was also a plus. Would have liked to go into Notre Dame, may want to consider putting that on the tour.

Great experience
