Welcome to Hell's Kitchen!

The tour begins as you head north out of Midtown into the heart of Hell's Kitchen. Your friendly local guide is a true food fanatic and can't wait to share the neighborhood's hidden gems! As you begin your small group walking tour, your guide will tell the troubled history of Hell's Kitchen, which was once heavily neglected and rife with gangs. It also became home to immigrants from all over the world, and this mix of global influences has seen the neighborhood explode into one of the most exciting and eclectic culinary destinations in New York.

Why "Hell's Kitchen"? There are a few different explanations for that, and your guide will talk you through how the area might have got it's catchy name.

Noodles, Asian Barbecue, and Indian Tacos

The first stop on the tour is a visit to Japan (for your tastebuds, anyway.) You'll try delicious noodle dishes and high-quality barbecued meats, and you'll savor the umami and quality of ingredients that make this place a Hell's Kitchen favorite.

Next, you'll try an unusual fusion of Mexican and Indian cuisine. On the menu are mouthwatering tacos with an Indian twist, and you'll learn how the common spices and flavor profiles lead these seemingly very separate food cultures to mash into an amazing combination!

American Classics

People didn't just come to Hell's Kitchen from elsewhere in the world, but also elsewhere in America. Throughout the United States, each region and even each city have their own unique culinary traditions, and you'll find almost all of them here in New York. You'll discover the flavors of the American South through incredible takes on comfort food from barbecue to fried chicken, then try some delicious modern twists on classic Italian-American dishes that have been around for generations.

Over-the-Top Desserts

A New York food tour wouldn't be complete without a tasty dessert, or maybe even two desserts! Your Hell's Kitchen food tour caps off with two dessert stops where you can try some of New York's favorite sweet treats. The donuts and cookies you'll try will blow your mind, and it makes for an unbelievable end to this culinary journey.

Don't Forget the Views...

It's not all food on this tour, although that's the most important thing of course! Along the way, you'll also head up to an amazing rooftop terrace for a picture-perfect view of the world-famous Midtown skyline, so make sure you bring a camera.
