Meet your guide at Fossar de les Moreres (El Born)
Gather beside the eternal flame near Santa Maria del Mar, where your guide shares the story of 1714 and why this square remains sacred ground. It’s the perfect prologue before you step into El Born’s cobbled lanes and your first tasting stop.

Overall, the tour was a fun experience, providing a look at different eating establishments in Barcelona. Livia was very personable and we enjoyed chatting with her. There were a few thins that could have improved the experience though:
- The tour was slightly disorganized, but I think this was mostly due to itinerary changes that were imposed on the guide.
- The tour concentrated on the touristic center, it would have been nice to visit some “hidden gems”.
- I would have liked to receive a list of the places we visited, or at least a suggestion to note places of interest. A couple of them were basically impossible to find again.

This tour had everything we were looking for. Our guide was fantastic, super friendly, easy to talk to, and full of stories that connected the food with the history of Barcelona. We walked through the Gothic Quarter and El Born, which felt magical, with narrow streets, old buildings, and lively local bars. The food was unforgettable: jamón ibérico that melted in your mouth, the famous bomba from Barceloneta, fresh seafood, and so many other tapas that you wouldn’t normally find on your own. On top of that, we tried different drinks vermouth, wine, sangria,... and of course the porrón, which had everyone laughing and cheering each other on. By the end, our group felt more like friends than strangers, and we all agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip. If you want to experience real Spanish food and culture in a fun way, you should not miss this.

This tour really surprised me. It wasn’t just about eating tapas, it was about understanding Spain through its food.
