Had a delightful morning with Sion being introduced to the Tower. Worth getting up early to see the Beefeaters open the gates and being one of the first to see the jewels!

My husband's favorite experience in London. From the traditional ceremony of unlocking the gate to all the history and information provided. A lot of stairs if you see all that there is to offer inside the Tower, be prepared and wear comfy shoes!

Do it!

Yes, it is early but that's part of what makes it worth it. The directions to get there were very easy to follow and our tour guy, Lee, was very funny and good. He really loves what he does and has a true respect of the history of ToL. After your guide gives you the low down they walk you to the "royalty" entrance and you meet the beefeater. There aren't many tour groups that are allowed to do this so it was a small group of us to see the opening ceremony which was great. After the beefeater introduces you to the opening ceremony and tells you a little about who they are, your guide will walk you straight the Crown Jewels building. After that your "tour" is essentially done and your guide leaves you to explore on your own. However, there are many beefeaters on the grounds where you can ask questions. Once they open the gates to the "rif raf" as Lee calls them it gets crowded...fast. I would highly recommend doing this tour. A reminder, this place is old, duh, so it is cobblestone and a bit bumpy to walk so wear comfy shoes. Also, because this place is old, duh, some of the staircases and spaces are small. It was great, just book it and don't do a later in the day tour, early is worth it!

It was our first time overseas and we didn’t want to fool with trying to get in the queue for tickets to the Opening Ceremony of the ToL. This tour was well worth the cost in my opinion. Hassle free, easy to find starting point, and our guide Kathleen was super friendly and knowledgeable. While she couldn’t go inside with us, she got the group ready with all the necessary information on where to go first so we could beat the crowds to view the Crown Jewels. Having that exhibit to ourselves amongst our small group was amazing! It definitely started to feel like cattle being herded through as the day progressed (and we’re technically still not even in peak season!), so the early entry was WELL worth it!

Great experience! Beat the crowds!

This early morning entry into the back area gave us a behind the scences look at the tower's opening ceremonies. We felt very special to be be only part of a small group to get to see it. We also got to have first access to the crown jewels and beat the crowds! The only bummer was that the tour does not continue past that opening ceremony. Our guide was great! Would recommend booking an additional tour to be guided around the grounds as there is SO much to see and read and do, you need that back stage pass that you get with a good guide :D

Wonderful way to see the Tower

Great tour guide in Lee, who provided lots of fun facts and kept our group of 16 or so entertained. Easy instructions, clear info on where to meet and the early visit allowed us to witness the opening of the Tower with early visit to avoid the crowds including the Crown Jewels. Incredible history and fun to walk about on your own after the guide completes their spiel.

This early access tour is definitely worth it! You skip the lines to see the Crown Jewels early, hear from a Beefeater, and get to know about the history before the Tower of London opens. Sophie was our tour guide and was lovely, energetic, and entertaining.

My son and I really enjoyed this tour- Ben explained what to expect with everything- we were one of the first people to see the jewels on our particular tour day. By the time we got out it was already very busy. Would definitely do this tour again! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Highly recommend getting the early tour with the key ceremony before all the crowds as well as ability to see Crown Jewels first. While our guide was well informed we found she spoke a little too much with way too many names. Lost a lot of our groups attention. Overall highly recommend doing a tour to gain early access and learn about things you may not if you do it on your own.

Dan was our tour guide. Barney was the Beefeater that gave us about 20 min of the history of Beefeaters and the Tower of London. This was very interesting. Dan is very knowledgeable. He did an excellent job of explaining the history and activities. He also did a great job of preparing us for entry to see the crown jewels and a walk through the White Tower. If you go, best to arrange a tour to meet one of the Beefeaters.

Arianne was our guide - she was simply amazing - a wealth of knowledge and so generous with her time. I have visited the tower quite a few times and this time I learnt more than any of the other visits. I feel our family were very lucky to have done this tour with Arianne.

Tour guide was knowledgeable and polite, but very quiet and a bit hard to hear. It became impossible when it began to rain and the umbrellas came out. I left the tour early rather than straining to hear while being stabbed by others umbrellas

I’m really glad we went!!

We really enjoyed the tour however, it was a bit long and a lot of standing. It could’ve been half an 1/2 hour shorter and that would’ve been helpful. With this being said, we really are glad that we went. We are very grateful that we went early in the morning because by the time we left, there was so many people it was not fun anymore.
