Private Vatican Tour with Marina

Our family of 3 loved our private experience with Marina, to be able to climb the dome, and learn about different parts of the Baslica, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. Marina was very helpful navigating the crowds and lines, making this a very smooth experience for us. Definitely recommend!!!

Good tour with Rafa

This was a pretty good tour. Especially in the Vatican museum art tour guide Rafa pointed out some very interesting paintings and things about various art. She also pointed out and explained things about items in the Basilica, and on our climb when we were at the first terrace, she explained how large the lettering was it would’ve been nice to have a little bit more time in the Basilica also we had to wait a while while they change tickets because we wanted to walk up, but that could be easily avoided in the future by requesting to walk up both parts. The walk up was really easy. The Sistine chapel and the Basilica were absolutely amazing as was the view from the top of the dome. Our guide also described how the dome used to be lit by candlelight, which is amazing and somewhat dangerous.

If you are visiting the Vatican, do yourself a favor and request Bogden. We spent five hours exploring the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, and the time absolutely flew by. Incredible Experience

We met Danielo at 7:00 a.m. on a cold and drizzly morning to start our tour of the Vatican. From the start it was obvious that his knowledge was vast and he easily provided us with so much information! We began by going up the elevator to the base of the dome; we did not climb to the top..we wouldn’t have been able to. We spent a lot of time exploring the hidden aspects from that first rooftop, looking at the statues of the 12 Apostles and Jesus is the middle as well as the hidden from sight, small chapels or oratories. From there we walked around the walkway around the interior of the dome, taking in the incredible mosaic masterpieces that adorn the entirety of the area. Again, his knowledge on the mosaics as well as the frescos was amazing! Afterwards we went to the first floor, walking through the Jubilee door and immediately viewed Michelangelo’s La Pieta. As we walked through enormity of the Vatican, Danielo was not allowed to act as our tour guide, but we did meet up with him after about an hour, which gave me time to attend Mass. From there we went downstairs to view the crypts of the Popes and then to the Sistine Chapel. As we were walking there Danielo provided us with a in depth history of the Chapel as well as the proper behavior inside, such as no pictures. We were able to spend the time we wanted to spend there before moving to the museum. At no time were we rushed, or pushed along to see something. We were able to see, explore, embrace all that was important to us because Danielo was operating on our agenda within his time frame, and we greatly appreciated that. Once we left the Vatican I expressed my desire to purchase a specific Rosary and instead of just pointing us to a souvenir shop, he took us to a very reputable store before taking his leave. But before he left he made sure we knew where to get something to eat, and where to pick up a taxi to return to our hotel. Danielo provided us with the very best tour of the Vatican, and we’re tremendously grateful. Thank You Danielo!

Great tour!

Bogdan was amazing and the best tour guide for my family and I. He was super patient and clearly knew his history as well as answered all of our 11 yr old’s questions. Would highly recommend a tour with him!!! Thank you!!!

Food for the soul

My husband and I booked a private tour of the vatican with tour guide Graffa (not sure if I am spelling it correct) and to be honest I wouldn't do it any other way. There is so much information to take in to fully appreciate the splendor of the vatican that having our private guide was well worth it to organize the day. Our tour guide Graffa was exceptionally knowledgeable in vatican history and all its splendid art and architecture that it made the whole experience more enriching then if we had just completed it ourselves.

Great private tour of Vatican

Enjoyed our private tour. The guide was very knowledgeable & adjusted our approach based on our interests. She also navigated the lines well, narrated well and highlighted the key pieces in the museum.
