Would not attempt the Louvre without a guide!

We had an amazing experience at the Louvre. Our guide helped us navigate the crowds and moved us efficiently through the museum. She included the most famous works (Venus de Milo, Athena Nike, and, of course, the Mona Lisa). But, she also showed us works that showed how art changed over the centuries and, in particular, how art reflected the political turmoil in the 18th and 19th centuries. Our family, which includes both a 13 and 11 year old, was engaged throughout the tour. We all agree that it was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris!

Our guide did a wonderful job of navigating the Lourve for us! From the beginning, she was a total pro. She sent us off to relax at a cafe while she negotiated the delay in the museum's opening, and then smoothly guided us through the bewildering entrance lobby and procedures. Once inside, she was able to put the history of the Louvre in context of the history of France, showing us details and exhibits we would have definitely missed on our own. Her knowledge of art history was also superb and greatly enhanced our appreciation of what we saw. Many thanks -- definitely the way to go!

You may want to consider a longer tour if you're really interested in the Louvre. We saw so much, but also there was so much more to see. This place is huge.

We enjoyed our tour of The Louvre. It was an easy admission process and Sid was a knowledgeable guide. The tour was not too lengthy and ended at the Mona Lisa where we could view her and explore on our own from there.

Our tour of the Louvre with Sid was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. The whole experience, starting with the initial meetup person, was so easy. We arrived via the Metro underground /inside the Carrousel Mall, and the line was pretty unbelievable. After we found our way out of that maze, we were topside and easily found the meeting spot by the pyramid - along with another LONG LINE. Thankfully we were able to bypass the crazy line and make our way into the museum where Sid had our coat locker waiting along with a bathroom break. Sid is the best!! He talked nonstop, but it was all very informative, interesting, and most important - funny. He kept us engaged the whole time and I can't think of a moment I was bored or hoping it would end. I wish we could have stayed longer with his wealth of info with a comedian's touch. If you are visiting the Louvre for the first time, save your sanity and go with Sid. I learned so much and laughed the whole time. Strange combo, but so fun.

Our tour guide was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional! We would not have the same appreciation for the art without the education from our guide. We stayed a while longer and walked around realizing that without a guide, it just was not the same. It was really a great experience!
