Itinerary
Your tour begins at Monument aux Girondins
Meet your guide on the stairs of Monument aux Girondins, the fountain-crowned landmark on Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux. Then settle into a small-group minivan for the drive into wine country.
Drive into the Médoc wine region
Travel into Médoc, the Left Bank region known for Cabernet Sauvignon blends and historic château estates. Your guide explains how gravel soils and river trade shaped Bordeaux’s wine reputation.
Visit a family-run Médoc château
Step inside a family-run Médoc estate for your first château visit. Walk the vineyards, see the vat room and cellar, then taste estate wines while learning how grapes move from vine to barrel.
Enjoy a château picnic lunch
Next, arrive in Saint-Émilion for a picnic lunch at a Classified Growth château. Savor local French products in an estate setting as the day shifts from Left Bank structure to Right Bank Merlot.
Master Bordeaux wine tasting
Sharpen your palate during a guided wine tasting class. Learn how to read color, identify aromas, understand tannins, and describe Bordeaux wines with confidence before the next estate visit.
Explore medieval Saint-Émilion
Follow your guide through UNESCO-listed Saint-Émilion, a medieval village of stone lanes, monastic roots, and vineyard views. Learn how trade, faith, and wine shaped this Right Bank landmark.
Your tour ends at Monument aux Girondins
Return by minivan to Monument aux Girondins in central Bordeaux, where the tour ends where it began. Leave with a clearer sense of Médoc, Saint-Émilion, and Bordeaux château traditions.
