Your journey begins at the entrance of the Acropolis where you will pass through the Propylaea, the imposing gateway that’s stood since the 5th century B.C.
The Parthenon
The Parthenon is the temple you see sitting on the Acropolis and you'll get to wander through it with your guide.
Temple of Athena Nike
This temple was a symbol of victory in war and peace, and it nearly didn’t survive on more than one occasion.
Theater of Dionysus
You'll follow your guide to the ancient Dionysus Theater, one of the world's oldest theaters

You'll meet your guide and group at the Athens Walks office, just a short walk from the Acropolis. Your tour will end inside the Acroplis.
This is a 2-hour walking tour, so make sure you're wearing comfortable shoes and bring some water, sunscreen in summer months, and a camera.

We had a fantastic time on the 2 hour tour. Anna was our guide and kept everything interesting and fun. Despite the hike up the hill it seemed like a breeze with the stops, stories, and conversations Anna kept going throughout the tour. Would recommend to anyone interested in exploring the Acropolis & also having a funny outgoing guide to get you there!

Aigli (sp?) was our guide and she was great. So knowledgeable, easygoing, and experienced with everything. We were a party of six, with four teens/preteens, and they enjoyed it a lot too. She gave us a place to use the restroom before going in, and found shade as often as possible when talking. Our group was a decent size, maybe 16. Some of the other tour companies had groups that were like 30+ people, which looked very challenging and unpleasant to navigate. We booked this ourselves (instead of cruise excursion), and our ship was delayed getting into port. I messaged the company and they were understanding, allowing us to arrive up to the minute the tour was leaving, so I appreciated them giving us a chance to arrive! Made it with two minutes to spare. Totally worth the money. Aigli also gave us a great lunch rec and it was great local food.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all of history of the ruins. My only negative comment is that once we arrived at the top of the Acropolis & Parthenon and all of the history of the buildings were given the headsets were collected and we had to navigate down ourselves.

What a great tour! Maria did an amazing job explaining the history and mythology of this beautiful place. Not only that, she did an excellent job making sure all of us were still there when she moved on to different spots. That was a real challenge with the crowds! The audio set worked well; just a great tour overall.
