Tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Liked the tour. Tour got detained by an unexpected motorcycle parade/ rally and river boats that were too full. But we still got a thorough tour.

Do not waste your money

I never write reviews but feel compelled to write this so other families don’t waste their money. I booked this very expensive tour specifically to avoid waiting in long lines and learn stories about Anne Boleyn and the other royals at Tower of London. I didn’t achieve either of these things. After meeting our group, we were rushed to the pier to meet our boat. This tour company DOES NOT have booked tickets. We waited 35 minutes for a boat to arrive that could drive us while loads of non tour people got on boats before us. But because of our large size we couldn’t fit on a boat and were thus delayed by a significant amount of time. It was also not a scenic tour. It was literally a water uber packed with people that ping ponged back and forth across the river. We went maybe 100 yards in 15 minutes. It was the biggest waste of time. Once we arrived at the tower I thought surely we would get lots of great info. Instead our tour guide was seemingly scared of the beefeater giving a FREE tour and skipped both the bloody tower and the torture chamber (the only thing my kids wanted to see). Instead she specifically said “I’m not going to bore everyone with a million stories about kings and queens cause you will all murder me at the end” WHAT!!!? That’s what we actually want to hear. She instead told us at length about the difference between West Minster and London city, spent 15 minutes at a statue of the animals that lived at the tower and another 15 minutes at the nearly empty raven cages. It wasn’t until we got to the Crown Jewels that we finally understood that this tour company can’t go inside any building at the tower. They aren’t allowed to lead tours inside the tower which was NOT STATED ON THE DESCRIPTION. We sat outside the Crown Jewels for 10 minutes LOOKING AT POSTCARDS while the rest of the queue actually queued. We finally ditched the tour 30 minutes in because we had a dinner reservation we couldn’t miss and had not actually been inside a single building yet on Our THREE HOUR TOUR. I sent a message to the tour guy and they have yet to respond. This was the biggest let down of our entire trip. Do not waste your money. I was so excited to learn stories I couldn’t hear on the virtual tour and instead paid $450 to hear literally zero stories and feel like I need to go back to tower again.

Our tour guide was fabulous! She was very well informed, very engaging and funny! Well worth the money! Buy new shoes because walking on cobblestones is tough! Highly recommend! Ashley, Jill & Theresa. The Americans from New Jersey!

Exceeded Expectations!

I took the afternoon tour with Jeremy on March 24th. Jeremy was an incredible guide! He took wonderful care of the entire group, ensured we stayed together, and engagingly delivered fact-based history with enthusiasm and the perfect amount of dry humor which was appreciated by all! The Tower of London was much more expansive than I expected. I learned a TON and it was quite fascinating which was unexpected. This was such a special experience and even when touching upon the darker parts of historic events believed to take place there, Jeremy navigated them with great care and truth. Watching the changing of the guards of the crown jewels, as well as the treasures themselves was quite special. Before the end of the tour, Jeremy made sure to point individuals in the right direction to see additional attractions, made some stellar recommendations for other sites around London, and very kindly escorted me to the tube (London’s underground train system) and ensured I got on the right train back to Mayfair. He was delightful, witty, and truly made this tour a fantastic experience. I hope to cross paths with him again on an another tour over my next trip to the UK!

Dan was an awesome guide!! We had him for the morning tour of Westminster abbey and then in the afternoon tour of the Tower of London. His knowledge was on point and so interesting!! He was very real and worked well with the personalities of the group. He really was so enjoyable!! We would love to experience another tour with him again anytime!!! Cheers!

Our tour guide was amazing!!

So many fun stories and he was super knowledgeable about everything. Any question we had, he would answer in full and based on where the group was from, he wove in relevant stories. You can tell that he’s very interested in history and is a good storyteller. We can’t wait to use this tour group again!
