On this super-popular Roman food tour, you'll meet your culinary guide at the fountain on the right side of Piazza Farnese, where you and your small group of 12 or fewer will learn about the rich food culture of Rome's picturesque Trastevere neighborhood. Then head out to the first of four stops at beloved local eateries where you'll discover the true roots of Roman food.

First up is a family-owned deli serving prosciutto, salami, cheeses, and local wines, and offering secrets of century-old techniques.
Baccalà
Less romantically known as salted cod, this traditional dish involves salting, drying, and rehydrating cod for a flaky yet tender texture.
Saltimbocca alla Romana
A must-try is the flavor-packed Saltimbocca alla Romana, made with thin slices of veal that are topped with prosciutto and sage.

Meet your guide at Piazza Farnese by the fountain on the right (when facing Palazzo Farnese). A friendly representative will be there holding a sign with our company name on it. Your tour will end at a restaurant in Trastevere.

Marco was a really great guide as we walked through the Trastevere neighborhood stopping to taste food and share wine along the way. Our group of 10 people was the perfect size as Marco shared stories about the customs, food, & wine of the area. He was interested in where we all came from in the USA & was sure to speak with everyone as we enjoyed our walk & dining experience. I highly recommend this tour & Marco too!

Ilaria was absolutely amazing as our food tour guide. She took us to some of the best local food places but my absolute favorite was Da Vitoria. I loved this restaurant so much my husband and I are eating dinner here tonight. I seriously enjoyed her as our guide and hearing stories about some of the things she experienced as a child here in Rome. I would highly recommend her

This was such a great evening. Helped along by our guide, Dimitri. His friendliness and knowledge really added to the ease of the evening. We have had a couple of food tours when the guide has not joined in, and it feels this is good enough for you. But I wouldn’t eat here. He joined right in with us and really added to the experience.

Our guide for this tour was Gabrielle. He was very passionate in his descriptions and backgrounds of the different dishes. First venue was appetizers, then off to the second which was on a nice courtyard. Third was dinner which was pasta and meat. Right next door was a gelato shop to finish the the night. A great experience
