Not easy to find the tour guide at the meeting point

Nice experience

The overall The Tour Guy group experience was good. The initial purchase to the initial meet up in front of Galleria Borghese was smooth. The check-in process was not as smooth as you have to check-in all your personal belongings at an open area security desk. Not the best feeling when women's purses have to be handed over with their wallet and passports, etc. In the rush of the group's 16 people checking in we fell behind and almost didn't make the group check-in with everyone through another gate. Then we got separated from the group going to the upper floors and also realized my wife's reading glasses were in that purse we had to give up. We had to have security find the group leader to get the group's storage box number card to go back to the first floor to get the glasses from the purse...then head back up and find the group again. While it's not the Tour Guy's policy of no bags including purses allowed, their web site should forewarn/advise that what is allowed to be carried is only about 6 inches wide by 6 inches tall...maybe post a picture for potential guests. After that stressful series of events, we finally moved with the group to each stunning room of timeless works of art and sculptures while listening to the guide over the provided audio devices with ear bud. Our tour guide, Fabrizio, was fantastic and a great ambassador for the art within Galleria Borghese. His passion for art and its related Italian heritage was truly a gift for us to experience. Fantastic Tour!

Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting and personable. He was steeped in Italian art history and, although I have studied it a bit myself, I still learned a great deal from him. He was also considerate of those who needed special assistance, including myself. He paced himself to the needs of the group. If all your tours are this good, I will definitely book another whenever we are next in Europe.

Great experience

We were delighted that a friend of ours recommended us to the Borghese Gallery. Even better was to have Martina as our guide. She was knowledgeable, easy going, and did give us time to ask questions and enjoy our time. OUr visit was made much more interesting and fun, and she gave us different perspectives on the pieces we saw. HIghly recommend the Roman Guy.

Borghese Gallery

Dimitri was an excellent guide. Smart, very knowledgeable, and engaging. His expertise added greatly to our visit. Recommend most highly. If you have to choose between the Borghese or the Vatican Museum by all means see the Borghese.

Excellent guide

Maria was an excellent guide to this magnificent museum. Some delays with audio system. The long spiral stairway was a bit daunting, but worth the effort. Learned so much about the major artists of the collection.
