Great tour, tour guide and of course food!

I'm really glad we did this tour! Our guide was great, knowledgeable and fun! I'm sorry to not remember her name :-( The food was a great variety, tried some new things like the Pasta al Nero di Seppia that I otherwise probably wouldn't have gone for, but it was really good! I also liked the historical information that came out as we walked Venice, an added bonus. Treat yourself and sign up, you'll be very glad!

The tour was wonderful and very enjoyable.

My entire family had memorable experience. Our guide was great!! She introduced us to artichoke liquor, and everyone loved it. The tour was very interesting because the guide grew up in the neighborhood that we toured. I would not hesitate to recommend your company or do the tour again when I return to Venice.

Nice Intro to Venice

Nice intro to our time in Venice. For some reason, I thought we would hear about the Jewish ghetto. We did not. Some of the stops seemed authentic, others more touristy. We had a fun group of people and a friendly guide who had grown up in Venice.

We had an amazing evening of walking, sipping and eating with our guide. She was a 10, and the small group we were with felt like family by the end of the night!

What a Geat Evening

This was amazing.... Olympia was amazing we had such great fun, the food was outstanding and seeing the authentic part of Venice was the best part of it all. the Group was small, eight of us, Olympia was very knowledgeable about all things Venice so in addition to being exposed to and trying some outstanding food we learned a lot about this wonderful, beautiful city. We would do this tour again with the tour guide in a heart beat.

Best booking !! We thoroughly enjoyed Irena and the authentic restaurants we visited. The walks were wonderful through Cannaregio, some history about the neighborhoods, Venice and of course the food. Bellisimo!!!!

Very nice tour

Local guide knew the area and food very well, was very knowledgeable about the area and history and showed us around to some diverse places off the beaten path. A good range of food and drink was provided and got to meet new friends in the process.

Cannareggio is the best district for a food tour!

We were lucky to have mild weather and only two other couples on the tour. The advantage of touring in late March! Our guide Rocco was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were surprised at how non-touristy and uncrowded the Cannareggio area was. There were local Italians eating in their neighborhood cafe or wine bar. We had wonderful cicchetti, great appertivos, an a nice dinner etc during our walk. We ended the evening with gelatos and Rocco walked us over the Rialto Bridge area to catch a vaporetto back to our ship. The bridge and the Grand canal were all lit up and looked so beautiful. All in all, a great evening that we highly recommend for people want a different experience in Venice.

The True Side of Venice Revealed!

I have been several times to Venice but I wanted to go on this tour with friends to see and experience and explore new things. Irene, our lovely guide, did a phenomenal job!! We ate true Venetian fare and toasted with traditional drinks. We saw the less touristy side of Venice. All the restaurants were genuinely so hospitable and fun. Irene was wonderful to answer all our questions as she shared interesting tidbits of these magnificent islands. That aside, I give The Tour Guide 3 stars for lack of communication when I tried to contact them about additional people to our group. It actually caused our tour to begin late. If they would have answered me right off, we would have known we had enough spaces reserved. Do better Tour Guy!

Wonderful Guide!

Irene was knowledgeable, interesting, and happy to answer questions. She even noticed my husband wasn’t trying the cicchetti. She quietly had the chef make him a fish free version! She was the best!
