Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka from Krakow in a single day is no easy feat. Tickets sell out, timing gets messy, and transport rarely lines up. This 11-hour combo tour solves all of that with one booking, a licensed local guide, and round-trip transport from central Krakow. Walk the preserved barracks at Auschwitz I and Birkenau with headsets, then descend into 13th-century salt chapels at Wieliczka. By far the most efficient way to cover both UNESCO sites in one easy day.

Itinerary
Your tour begins near Krakow's Old town
Meet at the touristic bus stop on Wielopole 2 in central Kraków and check in with your guide. Settle into an air-conditioned vehicle and get a quick overview of the day’s timing and entry logistics.
Ride to Wieliczka for a pre-arranged mine visit
Travel out of Kraków toward Wieliczka as your guide explains what makes this UNESCO-listed salt mine a working world beneath the city. On arrival, follow the posted route and prepare for a stair-led descent.
Descend through tunnels to St. Kinga’s Chapel
Step underground to walk salt-cut corridors and vast chambers shaped by miners over centuries. Then pause in St. Kinga’s Chapel to study carved altars, reliefs, and salt chandeliers that glitter in the cool air.
Return to Kraków and pause for lunch
Head back to Kraków and enjoy lunch at a nearby bistro. It’s a perfect reset between sites, and a chance to warm up after the mine’s cooler underground temperatures.
Enter Schindler’s Factory with skip-the-line access
Next, skip the long ticket lines and walk into Oskar Schindler’s former enamel factory with a licensed guide. Move through the “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945” exhibition of artifacts, photos, and reconstructed rooms.
