Trastevere Local Food Tour in Rome

Fantastic Tour!

This was such a fun tour! The Roman Guy never disappoints. We met great people from all over the world, and Marco, our guide, was outstanding - knowledgeable, friendly and a true local Roman. He took us to places we never would have discovered on our own. The food was delicious, the wine was flowing and the atmosphere made the whole evening feel special. Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to eat well, learn a little and enjoy great company. 10/10

Enjoyed the tour

We really enjoyed our Food Tour. Sam was a great guide. This was a laid back tour with a little bit of walking. We met some really nice people on the tour and enjoyed some really great food and wine. This was a great way to ease into our visit to Rome and we highly recommend it.

Our Fantastic Tour with Monika

We spent our first evening in Rome with Monika and our tour group and couldn't have enjoyed it more. She is a delightful young woman, and food was all fantastic. Lovely and informative way to spend an evening!

It was nice to walk around several local squares and get a bit of the history of each one along with tips on choosing restaurants and what to avoid. The food was good. Astonishingly we met other people from home that would be on the next segment of our trip. A very pleasant evening with a congenial guide.

Great food, great company, fabulous guide.

Mario was our guide and he was fabulous. Told us about the history of every area we walked through and the food we were going to eat. I walk with a cane and had no problem keeping up. The food was really good. Especially the pasta and veal at the main course. It was outstanding. The pasta, two kinds, amongst the best I ever had. However, it was Mario who made it such a great experience. He was a very knowledgeable, very likable young man. 5 stars for Mario all the way.

The absolute best part of our vacation!

This tour is absolute magic! Our guide Monika made the city come alive as he shared his amazing knowledge of the culinary past and present of Rome and the Trastevere neighborhood. We have enjoyed dozens of bookings with the Tour Guy, but Monika represents the pinnacle of hospitality and knowledge. His kind and friendly demeanor made us feel like one big family from the minute we met, and I don’t think we’ve had as much fun on any excursion as we did that night. Salute! Can’t wait to do it again!!

Inspiring and tasty evening.

Our guide Federica has such passion for Roman culture and she shared it well with us. She is truly inspiring. The food we sampled was excellent and plenty. I would definitely take one of these tours again.
