Itinerary
Your tour begins at Geneva Bus Station
Gather with your guide at Geneva Bus Station (Place Dorcière), right in front of the office near Gare Cornavin. Look for the red jacket at check-in, where your guide will greet you and confirm your spot before boarding the panoramic bus.
Roll past Geneva's halls of diplomacy
Glide through Geneva's International District aboard a panoramic bus, where the headquarters of the World Health Organization, International Labour Organization, World Trade Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross (founded here in 1863) line the streets. Your guide brings these institutions to life with stories of how Geneva became the diplomatic capital of the world.
Pause at the towering Broken Chair
Step off for a five-minute photo stop at Place des Nations, where the giant Broken Chair monument stands opposite the European headquarters of the United Nations. Then breeze past the iconic Flower Clock, Geneva's blooming tribute to its watchmaking heritage.
Wander into the medieval Old Town
From April through December, hop aboard a heritage mini-train that winds through Geneva's Old Town, passing Maison Tavel and Place du Bourg-de-Four along narrow cobblestoned lanes. From January through March, follow your guide on foot past Maison Tavel, Place du Bourg-de-Four, and the lively squares.
Climb to St. Pierre Cathedral
Linger outside the medieval St. Pierre Cathedral, perched atop the Old Town hill, where reformer John Calvin once preached for nearly 30 years. Then drift past the Reformation Wall in Parc des Bastions, a 328-foot (100-meter) monument honoring the leaders of the Protestant Reformation.
