Three of Ireland's most striking landscapes wait outside Dublin, and you can see them all in a single day. This day trip pairs the Burren's caves with the country's most famous cliffs. Inside Aillwee Cave, you'll pass waterfalls and ancient bear chambers underground, then watch eagles and hawks soar at a live Bird of Prey display. After lunch, head to the Cliffs of Moher for sweeping Atlantic views and a stop at O'Brien's stone tower. It's a full sweep of Ireland's wild west coast in one day.

Itinerary

Your tour begins at the Molly Malone statue

Meet your guide on Suffolk Street beside the bronze statue of Molly Malone, the fishmonger heroine of Dublin's most famous folk song. Board your coach and head west toward Ireland's rugged Atlantic coast.

Travel west through Ireland's countryside

Watch Dublin fade into rolling green farmland and stone-walled fields as your coach heads to County Clare. The journey crosses the country toward the Burren, a vast limestone landscape unlike anywhere else in Europe.

Descend into the depths of Aillwee Cave

Drop 850 meters (2,790 feet) underground into Aillwee Cave, a 330-million-year-old system carved beneath the Burren hills. Pass waterfalls, stone chasms, and chambers where European brown bears once hibernated.

Watch raptors take flight over the Burren

Just outside the cave, attend a 45-minute educational flying display hosted by the Aillwee staff at the Birds of Prey Centre. Watch eagles, owls, vultures, and hawks soar overhead. Learn how each species hunts and why these raptors matter to Irish ecosystems.

Pause for lunch in the village of Fanore

Continue to Fanore, a tiny coastal village along the Wild Atlantic Way scenic route. Settle into a traditional Irish pub to purchase a bowl of seafood chowder or a hearty Irish stew for lunch and relax during some free time. Then spot the Aran Islands across the water.
