Meet your group and guide at the fountain in the beautiful Piazza Farnese. This charming square, lined with quaint cafes and bursting with local life, is the perfect, picturesque spot to begin your culinary journey into the heart of authentic Roman food culture.
Stop for a Roman Salumeria (Deli) tasting
Next, you’ll head to a family-owned deli, a local institution for over 100 years. You’ll sample expertly cured prosciutto and salamis, local cheeses, and regional wines, all while learning the secrets of century-old techniques from the family.
Sample traditional baccalà (salted Cod) or supplì
After that, you'll stop for another beloved Roman street food. Depending on the day, you'll try either crispy supplì, a deep-fried rice croquette with a gooey mozzarella centre, or baccalà, lightly battered salted cod. Sit-down for a three-course Roman dinner

This was an excellent tour, the best we have EVER done! Aubin was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He did not walk too fast and would stop to make sure everyone was keeping up. We truly had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it. The food was very tasty as well. You will not be disappointed.

We all had a wonderful time. Our host was fantastic. She not only talked about the food we were eating and why it was special, but about Rome…Roman History and the context of everything. She remembered everyone’s name. She made an impression on all of us…and made it a wonderful evening. Interesting part of Rome to explore. Highly recommend .

Our guide, Federica, was wonderful and so were the many foods and wines we sampled. I really enjoyed all the foods but it was nice to have the 2 course dinner and stay in one place for awhile.

This tour was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable not only about different Roman foods but about the areas we walked through. We had 4 different stops and tasted 4 different foods. The tour group consisted of only 8 people so it was easy to talk with everyone. I would highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our walking tour of Trastevre, which we planned for our first night after landing in Rome. The tour helped us to get oriented and fight the jet lag and it served as a terrific introduction to Roman cuisine and culture. That said, we were a bit underwhelmed with the food that was offered for the price we paid. I thought the deli stop was good, but didn’t offer enough and the suppli stop was very good However, the restaurant stop was not great. The dinner provided was underwhelming and would not have been my choice of restaurant. Sammy, the guide, was terrific. He had a lot of knowledge and created a fun atmosphere for us to both learn, engage, and get to know the other participants and the neighborhood.

Arvin is great guide, very accommodating and knowledgeable. The walking, though, was excessive for the time spent. Why not meet at the starting point??? All the food was great, especially the Roman arinchi. The neighborhood was inviting. The time walking aside, very good tour!

We loved our tour with Hilaria (Hilary). She took us to places she had visited since a child which means they were well established and enjoyed by many. She was very informative of the area as well as recognized and loved by multiple restaurant owners and servers throughout the evening that weren’t even part of our tour! You could tell she was part of the local community which made the tour that much more enjoyable. She also gave us several tips on places to see that were not necessarily tourist attractions but interesting to us just the same. Lovely evening with a wonderful tour guide, highly recommend!
