Pile Gate

The Tour begins in Pile Square, just inside the great Pile Gate that has served as the entrance into old town Dubrovnik for over 500 years. Cross the bridge over the moat, entering the castle fortress from centuries ago.

From the strategic gate, you will head to the strategic high ground of the city by cable car. With your expert guide's knowledge, discover the secrets and sights of Dubrovnik on this awesome tour.

Cable Car to Mount Srd

Traditionally home to the strategic fort protecting Dubrovnik from above, today Mount Srd provides the best views of the city. Great for hikers, the 1300 foot mountain is one of Dubrovnik's great sites to visit.

From the center of town, take a cable car with your expert guide pointing out the surrounding buildings and natural wonders. Atop the hill see the 19th century fort and learn how Mount Srd has played an important role in Croatian and previously Yugoslav independence.

Old Town Dubrovnik and the Stradun

Originally the Roman port of Ragusa, Dubrovnik has an important trading center for millennia. Head through the markets and down the great Stradun, the city's main thoroughfare. On your guided walking tour you will see the Dominican Monastery, Onofrio's Great Fountain, Orlando's Column, the Church of St. Blaise, the Rector's Palace, Dubrovnik Cathedral and more.

Dubrovnik City Walls

One of the most beautiful fortifications in Europe, the walls were built mostly in the 13th and 14 centuries. Here, your guide will say goodbye and you'll be given your entry tickets so you can walk the walls at your own pace.

Climb up the stairways and across the walls, home to countless Game of Thrones scenes. See how these impressive walls kept the people of Dubrovnik safe for centuries.

We had a great time. We were only in Dubrovnik for the day so my wife wanted to take a tour. I'm so glad we did as it was a wonderful experience. Learned so much about the history, I had no idea that Croatia has so much Roman influence. Never put together how close it is to Italy but makes plenty of sense. I recommend the tour greatly!
