Salumeria Da Aldo

€ | Best Sandwich | Takeaway
Sometimes you don’t want a long, sit-down lunch. You might want to have a quick meal so that you can go swimming in the sea. Therefore I included a great sandwich option which you can eat on the go.
Salumeria da Aldo is one of the old school sandwich shops that you can still find in Italy. They make their sandwiches fresh and to order and you can have delicious prosciutto with mozzarella di Bufala or even just a simple Caprese sandwich with tomatoes and mozzarella. No matter what you have, you will like it and so will your wallet.

Hours: 7 AM- 9 PM Always open
Pizzeria Da Franco ( Sorrento)

€ | Fun atmosphere | Pizza Napolitana
While it is true that you can eat pizza anywhere in the world, pizza as we know it was invented in Naples. And since the entire Amalfi Coast makes pizza in the Neopolitan style, you need to try it here.
As the story goes, by the late 18th century, poor families around Naples were adding tomatoes to their yeast- based flatbread. It became an instant success and visitors coming to the city starting going into these poorer parts of town to try this specialty.
Make sure you stop at a pizzeria and try the Pizza Napolitana since it is a food to try in the Amalfi Coast!
Address: Corso Italia, 265, 80067 Sorrento
Hours: 11 AM- 2 AM Always open
Cuoppo D’Amalfi ( Amalfi Town)

€ | Streetfood | Seafood
What about street food on the Amalfi Coast? As with the above option, you might not want a sit-down lunch, but something on the go. You might also be tired of pasta or pizza, so this is the perfect place!
Cuoppo offers various fried options of seafood that eat with a large wooden toothpick. The seafood is lightly battered so as to not be very heavy on the stomach. The usual offering is fried calamari, shrimp, and even sardines. The best drink to wash it all down is with a cold, local beer. And this is why Cuoppo is one of the best street food restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.
Address: Supportico Gaetano Afeltra10, 84011 Amalfi
Hours: 11 AM- 10 PM Always open
Da Armandino ( Praiano)

€€ | Beachside | Seafood
This is a local favorite, so if you are lost you can ask any local and they will tell you how to arrive. The restaurant is located at the Marina di Praia beach. The setting is epic with the beach surrounded on all sides by cliffs. Go for a dip, then head on over for some seafood.
There is outdoor and indoor seating, but I always prefer outdoor. Start with some fried calamari that you sprinkle some fresh lemon on. After order some pasta with seafood and wash it all down with a cold white wine. The location and quality of food definitely make this one of the best fish restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.
Address: Via Marina di Praia, 84010 Praiano

Il Pino ( Praiano)

€€ | Amazing Views | Seafood
When you are looking for a more intimate setting, then work your way down to Il Pino. The staff is super nice and professional and the host, Simone will make you feel right at home. Did I mention that the views are spectacular?
To start, I highly recommend the crudo misto. This is a platter of raw seafood ranging from oysters to fish carpaccio and raw red shrimp. After this, you may not need anything else, but if you continue then I would choose the fresh pasta with mussels and clams. They have a great wine menu, so there is something for everyone. Now you understand why this is one of the best restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Babel Wine Bar Deli & Art ( Ravello)

Sometimes when you go to a restaurant you can tell that the owners were maybe artists in a previous life, or this life as well. That is definitley the vibe you will get when you come to dine at Babel Wine Bar Deli & Art.
If you want a break from the heavy pasta and pizzas, then pop in for lunch here. Enjoy some prosciutto and Mozzarella or some meatballs in a red sauce. For something a bit lighter how about a red quinoa salad? Don’t forget the wine and limoncello at the end.

Lo Sfizio ( Capri)

€€ | Off the beaten track | Seafood
This hidden gem is a bit of a walk from the main touristy area, but the walk is well worth it. If you happen to be visiting the ruins of Tiberius villa, then this is a perfect lunch spot to visit. The friednly staff will make you feel right at home.
As for the food, there is something for everyone. You can start off with some ravioli Caprese with Parmigiano cheese. After that go for a whole roasted chicken or a whole fresh fish. For the people in your group who are fussy, there is always a delicious pizza waiting to cooked in the oven.

La Tagliata ( Positano)

€€ | Breathtaking Views | Outside Dining
There are some views that you can just stare at for hours and it continues to take your breath away. La Tagliata has one of those views as you can see from the photo above. The great thing about this restaurant is that the food is really good as well! The restaurant is not in the city center and is a bit of a way outside, but they got you covered since they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel after dinner!
While the majority of restaurants by the sea will be offering seafood, up here meat reigns supreme. Grab a nice steak cooked over the coals with a robust red wine to wash it down and enjoy the views. My recommendation is that you book early while the sun is still up to enjoy those views! The view itself allows it to be on the list of one of the best meat restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Hours: Noon- Midnight Always open
Ristorante Franchino ( Praiano)

€€€ | Fine Dining | Spectacular Views
This establishment has been in the same family for over 50 years so they must be doing something right! Remember to book in advance to ensure you get a table overlooking the coast. Since you are a bit higher up here, the views are like the photo above.
As for the food, there is a ravioli with shrimp which is superb. For those of you who don’t like seafood, they also have various ” Terra” options like a good old steak with potatoes. For risotto lovers go I recommend the seafood risotto with shrimp, scampi, mussels, and clams. Wash it all down with a chilled, local white wine and you will understand why this is one of the best fish restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Il Pirata ( Praiano)

€€€ | On the Water | Outdoor Seating
I have eaten here for lunch and dinner and both times were exceptional. They have set up a terrace right on the water as well, so you can eat floating on the sea! It is also a lounge bar, so if you prefer to just come for drinks or aperitivo that is ok as well!
Start with a Sauté of Mussels in white wine sauce. After I would highly recommend the linguine with crab. If you happen to still have room, then I would go with any of their choice fish options in the oven. They have a remarkable wine list with many local wines that are superb. As you listen to the calm of the sea, you will understand why this is one of the best fish restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.
Address: Via Marina di Praia, 84010 Praiano

Salvatore Ravello 1958 ( Ravello)

€€€ | Amazing Views | Modern Twist
This is one of those places you go to for a meal and have an experience instead. The chef is someone who really knows what he is doing and the staff are on point. Did I mention that the views are amazing as well?
The menu has a bit of a modern twist on classical dishes, so you won’t find the typical dishes that you find at many restaurants in the area. You might start with bread that has a message written in squid ink and anchovy butter. After if you want to change it up go for the Steak Frites or the crespelle (a house favorite) Finish off with tiramisu and you will understand why this is one of the best meat restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Pescheria Le Botteghe ( Capri)

€€€ | Simple, but Delicious | New Concept
This is one of the more exciting restaurants in my opinion in Capri. In the morning the fresh fish arrive and they sell the fish at the counter to bring home and cook. After 7pm the establishment turns transforms itself into a great place to either have drinks or a meal or both!
Make sure you book in advance as they get extremely busy. You can come in for an aperitivo or ceviche. Sit down and have a delicious plate of pasta with seafood and you will also notice that the quality to price ratio is great. After a night here you will understand why this is one of the best seafood restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Rada ( Positano)

€€€ | Fine Dining | Great Views
This establishment seems like it is literally growing out of the rocks on a cliff. From this position it is impossible not to enjoy amazing views overlooking the Mediterrean Sea. Grab a seat by the beach and get ready to enjoy yourself.
Like many restaurants you will find here, their specialty is seafood. My recommendation is to try the Crudo Misto. This means “Mixed Raw” and you will be in for a special treat with raw oysters, clams, and shrimp and there could be other things as well depending on what is fresh. After this, go with either pasta with seafood or grab a whole fish cooked in the oven. Wash it all down with a cold white wine.

La Taverna Del Leone ( Positano)

€€€ | Family Style | Great Atmosphere
This restaurant is a bit outside and as a result you will find more locals enjoying some great food. This is a family run restaurant which has been around since the 1960’s. Still going strong, I think they will be here for a very long time.
When you come here to eat, you will immediately feel like you are part of the family. The dishes they make are traditional Italian food, but have a beautiful presentation and is super appealing to the eye. That is why this is one of the best restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.
Address: Via Laurito, 43, 84017 Positano
Hours: 1 PM- 3 PM, 7 PM- 10:30 PM Closed Tuesdays
Da Ciccio Cielo Mare E Terra ( Amalfi Town)

€€€€ | Seaview | Something for everyone
This restaurant is not in the center part of town and therefore requires a bit of a drive, but it is well worth it! They will usually offer a shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off if you are staying in the general Amalfi area so make sure you take advantage of that if you don’t have a car.
While the restaurant is not cheap, if you are going to splurge, this is probably where I would do it. They offer a tasting menu for 90€ excluding wine with varied dishes such as beef carpaccio, squid and potatoes, and fish soup. Enjoy a local wine from Amalfi and you will understand that without a doubt this is one of the best seafood restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

€€€€ | Haute Cuisine | Fine Dining
Sometimes you want to get all dressed up and eat something fancy. Well you have come to the right place. The dishes served at Gennaro Amitrano are presented beautifully and also taste delicious. You will find service to also be impeccable.
This intimate restaurant only has around 6 tables so it can focus on the most important item in the restaurant… you! I highly recommend the tasting menu, considering that the menu changes often. Their wine selection is also vast, so don’t be shy in having them help you choose the perfect nectar of the gods.

Ristorante Museo Caruso ( Sorrento)

€€€€ | Old School | Eccentric
So I have to say from the getgo that this restaurant might not be for everyone. It has a very special feel to it. Let me explain… The owner loves the Italian opera singer Caruso. The walls are lined with photos of him and while you eat, you will listen to music by him. The waiters will also probably tell you some stories about Caruso.
How is the food? Delicious! You will start with some prosecco, then jump into a pasta dish and then eat seafood. What more could you want? If you are looking for a special experience that you can go home and tell your friends about, then make a reservation for one night here.
Address: Via Sant’Antonino, 12, 80067 Sorrento

Adamo e Eva is a restaurant that is located inside the hotel Eden Roc. It is a bit higher up along the coast, which means that the views are breathtaking. As you can see from the picture above, there really doesn’t exist a better view of the wide blue sea. Did I mention that the food is amazing as well?
Their specialty is seafood and I highly recommend pasta with lobster. You can also try red shrimp with burrata which melts in your mouth. Of course, to wash it down, there is a chilled bottle of white wine that has your name on it. You deserve it. From the above, you can understand why this is one of the best seafood restaurants on the Amalfi Coast.

Il Flauto Di Pan ( Ravello)

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the best restaurant in Ravello. While I know that ” Best” depends on many factors, Il Flauto has it all. From impeccable service, to amazing views, extensive wine list and delicious food. What more could you ask for? As expected it will be heavy on the wallet, but sometimes you just need to splurge. And this is the place to do it.
